OK I looked it up also. I always liked him but somebody voting him MVP over Yaz that year is insane.

Still a free agent. Has he announced his retirement? He has still been relatively effective and dependable the last few years. He'd upgrade our staff, that's for darn sure. Just surprised he didn't sign with anyone. Still appeared to have plenty of gas left in the tank, and not as old as you would think.

Status: offline 		If I were him I'd come back just to get the bad taste out of his mouth from last year when they brought him in relief to try to get 200 innings. Total disaster incurred. Actually felt bad for him.

yes it was last season near the deadline:

fly in the ointment is he makes 21M per for the next 3 years.

you get the better pitcher but take on the huge money in exchange.

2018: $13M club option ($1M buyout)

2018 option becomes player option with 400 IP in 2016-17
