I think college softball is a better game than college baseball. And it's certainly more watchable.

Not even close (except on days when Jenny is pitching). Love college baseball. The CWS is among the better sporting events that exist. Highly underrated.

Not unlike women's beach VB trumping the men's indoor game?

Well that can't be argued, can it?

You are doing yourself a disservice if you're scanning the viewing guide, see College Softball, and don't at least click on it. You never know what may be behind that curtain. Sometimes it's a bust, but more often than not it's well worth watching.

Other than with Finch, etc. I can't back this. I'd watch it before the WNBA, but that's a low bar in my mind. Would MUCH rather watch a good college baseball game.

Hard to believe but I agree 100% with Matt. I have no interest in watching college baseball.

College baseball is flat-out awful on TV.

Really rough start for him, SMF. Heading into today: .242/.293/.289/.582. But he's still very young as a 19 year old SS for that league. He'll turn it around.

It's nice to see Dee have such a great start to the year. Nick's better than Dee talent-wise, so hopefully that's a good sign.

With ya, as you know, man. I still think we should get excited about Polanco. So far he's holding his own ok at SS this year (haven't read in-depth scouting on it much yet this year). But he is still certainly hitting. If Santana doesn't "get it" longterm, Polanco is not far away at all.

Zack Jones fanned the side today for Chattanooga on 12 pitches. Now on the year:

14IP, 9H, 2R, 2BB, 25K, .190 BAA, 1.38 ERA

Hopefully we will see him in the Twins' pen soon as our primary setup man to Perkins. And eventually, IMO, closer.

Milone, 28, wasn't in agreement when the Twins said he needed to go to Triple-A, but he didn't pout.

"Up there with the Twins is where I want to be, but I had to come down here and work on some things," Milone said. "I was nibbling a bit too much (with the Twins). I need to get strike one and work off that."

He did that all night against Durham, primarily with a fastball and sharp-biting curve. He went to his change-up only periodically, and not until the later innings.

"It was kind of one of those, if it ain't broke don't fix it type things," said Milone, who was named International League Pitcher of the Week on Monday morning for his eight shutout innings and 12 strikeouts in a 1-0 win over Toledo last Wednesday.

Milone obviously belongs at AAA.

We'll see how Mr. Hu's UCL holds up in the second 3 IP. I can only surmise that Pinto is not catching him.

That's correct. Day game after night game.

Beside that, Fryer is a beast now.

.368 BA, and is consistently the #3 hitter in the Roch lineup.

Dunno if he passed his 'roids test.

Roch is 21-16

Fryer hitting 3rd at .368 is another one of those signs of the apocalypse.
