Suddenly, now ... we're gonna start worrying about keeping Dozier happy?
Seemed like he was a convenient speed bump for so long, and now, we think he's a roadblock for someone.
Quite the org.

I'm happy with Santana/Escobar. Just not sure either is a long term answer for SS.

Of course, long term right now means Gordon, in Eliz. So do you go with them? Or do you put Dozier back at SS?

Probably too hard to comprehend this kind of forward thinking in this system.

Hear hear
Been advocating that move for months ... hell, I never would have moved him away from short
But that's me.
I don't have a cute little uni.

By the time Dozier starts being a deficiency, it may be Gordon time (well, at least in a regular org)
Dozier and Jamie will have grandchildren by the time the Twins move Gordon into that spot.

So The Twins follow Trekkie's path, the Seth Stoh's seniority path, and move Wheeler to AA.

Bah.

It really isn't MY path. I was predicting what they would do. For once, i got it right. Doesn't mean I'm happy with it.

Congrats, you're now in sync with Twins thinking. Apply for a front office job.

I wouldn't last a day,

Trekkie crosses paths with Ron Gardenhire. Gardy welcomes him to the team
Trekkie calls Gardy an illogical moron and is fired almost immediately.

There'd be mad respect for you from this crew .....

They all know so much more than us.......

I will say this........I want to keep Santana in the lineup. I am fine with Hicks down at Rochester. They, the Twins, have so screwed up with Hicks, he needs some time to see right handed pitchers from the right side. Without any pressure. If it means more Fuld, fine. Get Hicks some success as a right handed bat facing right handed pitchers. They rushed Hicks last season with the deals of REvere and Span when he should have had at least some time at AAA. They should have had him play this offseason and told him to drop switch hitting and learn to hit only right handed. And they wonder why the kid is confused and not focused?

But this injury to Nunez (and Plouffe) might be a GodSend since it forces the Twins, in order to keep Santana's bat in the lineup, to play him at short.

I bet everytime Gardy fills out the lineup card and realizes he has Florimon on the bench but instead writes in Santana at short because only a fool would put Florimon's bat in the lineup on a regular basis, it must get to Gardy at every ounce of fiber in his body.

Had to laugh the other night ... Dick started in about Hicks' decision to stay on one side ... and Dick says ... too bad he chose the right side, wont get as many opps.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

#1, the point is to not be platooned, so there eventually wouldn't be a worry about what hand the pitcher throws with .. and
#2, HE didn't choose which side to SUCK from the most, the baseball Gods took care of that early on

Agreed Miles ... it has to KILL a part of Gardy every night he leaves Florimon on the bench.
A little piece of him dies.
Unfortunately, he can spare a ton of little pieces.

Are you fine with him at NB? That's where his re-hab started with an 0-3/BB/K effort last night, in the leadoff spot.

in a NB rout. Big contributor.

No.......I don't want him at NB.....I don't want him on a re-hab. I want him at Rochester to learn to hit right handed pitchers w/o any pressure. I also want someone from the organization to give him some assurances to go and work hard......that the Twins organization wants him to succeed because of his incredible defensive talent, etc. And he has shown the ability to drive the ball from the right side.

Either level is fine with me. They're both inferior anyway, according to Gardy.

Don't look for the Bremer Blyleven combo to leap ahead of the Bremer Morris position on the rankings that Matt posted the other day.

Likely a hit/run. I saw Hicks do this in spring training.

Aaron Hicks reaches on a throwing error by shortstop Edgar Duran. Aaron Hicks to 2nd.
Eddie Rosario singles on a fly ball to right fielder Kelly Dugan. Aaron Hicks scores.

Eddie Hit Man Rosario.

Evidently with his suspension coming from a drug of recreation...

it fits more ways than one.
