Ed, are there any minor league pitching prospects who are close to making the jump to the ML level at least as a tryout? We have seen Berrios and he seems to be over-matched. Kohl Stewart? Wheeler?

Wheeler
Berrios

There are your starters to try out.

Then please bring them up and give them some run. We don't need to continue to run Scott Diamond and Cole DeVries out there.

All of our system's teams must play in bad HR ballparks. Darn the luck.

Buxton just outright sucks as a ML player. No denying it. No improvement. He had a one-week hangover from Rochester when he returned this past time and has absolutely been horrible the past two weeks.

Buxton is 0-19 against the Red Sox and Yankees during this homestand.

With TWELVE strikeouts.

http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.cgi?id=buxtoby01&t=b&year=2016

At some point, this has to end. He isn't a hotshot prospect anymore. He has to grow into his role somehow.
Still waiting for him to shit gold tokens

This is not to rip Buxton, people. This is to rip the Twins.

I had a feeling he would have trouble with Boston and NY because I think a lot of his problems with the bat are mental. He seems psyched out. It's almost as if he still can't believe he is a major leaguer. The things where athletic prowess is required he has no trouble, but when we get into doing the toughest thing there is to do in baseball the wheels start turning.

This is a TWINS PROBLEM.

Eliz starts up Thursday.
Should do well again, since the Twins put college guys there

"hot prospects" Blankenhorn (19)Minier(20) and Lewin Diaz(19) are repeating it, for at least the 2nd time around.

Nope. If I was it would be more along the lines of Michael Hunt, Seymour Butz, etc.
