I don't understand the Melotakis hesitance at all. What more does he have to do?

I've always loved his stuff. Think it will play in the bigs. Please move him along.

Jorge doesn't get the press of some of the others, but he's still got a chance to make it too. Lots of "solid" pitching depth at Ft Myers and Chattanooga right now. With a couple of potential stars in Romero and Thorpedo. I think I'd rank them (in terms of ceiling): Romero, Thorpe, Gonsalves, DRod, Jorge.

Love it. Once Thorpe gets promoted, there will really be no reason to follow Ft Myers at all.

Some extra base hits. not going to hit many HRs, but speed to hit the gaps.

Some on TwinsDaily were pushing for him to replace Rosario.

That's a hard call. Rosario has a great ceiling, but he is such an effing bonehead in the field. When he hits multiple HR in a game like last night it's easy to overlook him costing us an extra run by making an errant throw to the wrong base. The problem is that has more games with bad throws than games with HR. None the less, it's a nice situation. Bring up Granite as the 4th OF and have Grossman or Vargas DH full time

Yep, Eddie better learn to walk. Stat.

I wish Granite was RH. Then it'd be a perfect platoon situation out there. Regardless, I like Rosario, but this team still needs a LF answer longterm. Eddie may still be it, but he's got to prove it. If you think about it, it may be our biggest current hole in our lineup. We seem set at the other spots for at least the next few years. Might need a C/3b or 1b/DH in 3-4 years, but right now, LF may be the biggest issue.

If LF (and a guy like Eddie Rosario) is your biggest hole, you're doing pretty damn well.

I think Eddie is incredibly competitive, which is sometimes his downfall. He is always trying to make the spectacular play in the field instead of the right play. He wants to hit the ball on every pitch and does a lot of chasing. But man when he is on his game, he is a hell of a ball player.

Yep. I still think one of his issues is weed too, though. He reminds me a LOT of a baseball version of Lamar Odom. Ridiculous talent (Rosario's probably not quite in his class there) and when he's going good? Wow. But a lot of lapses.

I am not sure about the Rosario and weed....but the year he worked hard all offseason in Florida is still his best year (2015). Focus for Hicks and Rosario has always been the problem....never a talent issue.

The #MNTwins have re-signed RHP Drew Rucinski (DFA'd on June 11) and assigned him to @RocRedWings. LHP Kevin Chapman has been released.

So they got nothing for Danny Sanny. That's ok, they tried.

Loving Gordon/Romero/Thorpe right now.

Our top 3 in the minors, IMO. So great to see that Thorpedo hasn't lost his K stuff after 3 years gone. Small sample as they work up his innings thus far, but right now he's at:

17 IP, 10 hits, 4 ER, 2.12 ERA, 24 K's, 5 BB, .167 BAA, 0.88 WHIP, 12.71 K/9. That's dominance. For a guy that's still just 21 years old. In High-A Ball.

I think Gonsalves is in the mix too....glad to see him healthy again.

He is. And he's certainly proved a lot of the scouts wrong so far. But I still prefer Thorpe's upside. And certainly Romero's.
