The Twins media sheople don't like him because he upset Gardy a couple of times. No doubt LEN had tears streaming down his face when he typed a couple of those stories.

Yup
We aren't done seeing anyone who dared piss off The Great Gardzoo get skewered
Thatll go on as long as a couple of these awful media ass-kissers are employed.

You know how LEN was crying because there wouldn't be any more fishing trips to Ely?

It just occurred to me that if they were really friends, Gardy would still invite LEN to Ely for future fishing trips.

Nah, he'll just miss those weekly Old Country Buffet outings with Gardy and Bill Smith.

It will depend on the new manager's attitude toward Hicks. Remember as loyal as these guys are they will have a surgeon suture their lips to the new manager's ass given the chance.

Buxton off today. Kepler (RF) 1 for 4 with a steal. Rosario (CF) 3 for 5, CS.

Rough outing for Jason Adam in relief: 1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 HR, 1 K

Rick Anderson: "He's ready."

Very small sample, and I believe AFL is notoriously a hitters' league, but Rosario now up to a .910 OPS. Nice to see.

Buston will be hard pressed to muster a better OPS than Drew Butera at this rate.

Looking at prospects is not an exact science. Travis Ishikawa played here at Norwich for 3 seasons with mediocre stats, and then eventually had a few ordinary years in AAA. Last person in the world I'd ever expect to be a post-season star. (He was in Connecticut just about the same time Matt Moses was taking up space here and showing similar lack of potential).

Good to see from Hicks.

Why is it called Winter ball in VZ when it's being played at the same time as Fall ball in AZ?

Speaking of Hicks, did the Strib even announce that Hicks is indeed playing winter ball? Or just Doogie? There were many stories from the Strib about how Hicks wasn't gonna play winter ball and what a malcontent his is. I think at this point they owe him a 3-page fluff piece. Maybe even a special insert section, like what they did when the Metrodome was demolished. And they'd still owe him.

Hicks probably got stoked to play winter ball when he heard Gardy was fired. He probably felt as if the weight of a bus had been lifted off of him.

There was a lot of bus lifting off our young prospects when Gardy was fired.

Who knows, maybe the rush to bid Gardy a fond farewell by Plouffe, maybe he was able to get there is he no longer was under a bus.

Looks like we can afford to be patient with Buxton; centerfield is solved.

Still have faith Appel will be a good one. Astros have a tough division but will be good soon.

Rosario is being aggressive as hell on the bases this fall. Jones/Reed better be on the fasttrack. Both could help THIS YEAR.

His OBP skills have always been solid. A major part of his strengths as a player.
