I assume Dustin meant expanding strike zone, not shrinking.

Really?????????

The Twins "should" join that in 2015. Jones/Burdi/Tonkin/Oliveros/May (if in the pen) would all qualify for that. Plus of course Meyer, who regularly hits 97-98. And Reed can hit 96-97 I believe, and I expect him to be up sometime this year. That's what has me excited for the future of the pen.

Watched a little bit of the game last night. Saw Rosario's sac fly in the 8th. It was a big run at the time and it was nice to see him come thru. Rosario has that athlete look....like a Matt Kemp or something. SMF will love him. That's funny!

From John Sickels

I have the 2015 Minnesota Twins prospect list more or less completed, however my son is home from school today with an unscheduled day off. As a result, I won't have time until late this evening to complete the official Top 20 rankings and get the article written. Expect it some time tomorrow.

To tide you over, here is the list of grades as they currently stand. A few of these might change as the rankings play out, but everything should be within a half-grade.

Thanks for your patience!

I like the high ceiling guys, sleepers too. Don't care for so many C's out there.

Tonkin only a C seems harsh.

That's just a value thing, based on relievers in general. Also should be noted that Sickels basically never gives A+. So his praise of Buxton/Sano are just that.

Personally, I think he's selling Thorpe a little short. I think what Thorpe has done, at his age, is as impressive as what Stewart has done at his. Both amazing relative to their peers.

You hate to ever say "can't miss" but, well, he's one of those guys. Outstanding pedigree, best position player prospect in his draft (like Buxton), athletic but also sound, good solid foundation/upbringing. I've only seen him play once, but I will be relatively shocked if he is not a major leaguer, and a good one, someday.

He's a "stud," in every sense of the word. I don't think there's a woman out there that he couldn't impregnate.

Kind of the Chuck Norris of SS prospects.

Sweens, I'm thinking his ETA is, what, April 2015, at the very latest?

I'll preface it by saying that this is the Twins, so who knows, but Dee, a worse prospect, was in the majors at 23 and holding his own. Nick Gordon just turned 19.

I see Nick making it to the majors sometime around 2018.

If he's still 19. his projected date to arrive here if TR is still around ... would be 2024.
Right outta Spring Training, tho.

Simply by passing them in the hallway, in fact ....

That soon?

I'm thinking Dustin's esitmation of his talent is a little bit understated.

Definitely not out of ST. That would put him line for super 2 status.

Agreed.
SS will be a big position of need again in 2024.
What with Santana still in Center and Buxton still hurt and all.
