My God ESPN's hockey coverage is awful. They just spent about 5 minutes trying to convince that Eichel didn't spear KK. It was the exact definition of "spear"

BTW - I heard a stat the other day against the Sharks that I couldn't believe. I actually had to look it up.

Addison is a -34 this year I know the Sharks suck but my gosh, how is that possible?

ESPN announcers are terrible. All homers and have no clue what is actually happening on the ice.

By the way, I don't miss Addison at all.

Not sure if you are watching it but this team is so damn frustrating. up 1-0 starting the 3rd, we decide to go full on "penalty kill" style game for 15 minutes just begging Vegas to tie it up. Sure as shit......

Nope, I don't have ESPN+ so I am watching Denver vs Cornell. Denver punching their ticket to the X for the Frozen Four. Up 2-1 on a PP with under 2 minutes left.
Gophers vs BU staring in about 15 minutes.

I just saw this from Russo:
Since Dec. 31, the Wild have blown seven third-period leads all at home. They're 0-3-4 in those games for 11 lost points in the standings because the 4th tonight came in overtime with the goalie pulled.

KK has goal scorers hands for sure. If only he had more help in that department.

Yeap. It's a 1 man band right now and has been for about a month. Boldy gets good chances but isn't producing anything tangible to help.

They are talking about the Bedard vs Faber for the Calder on the pregame.....
I would be very surprised if baby Jesus of the NHL Bedard isn't gifted the award even though Faber probably deserves it just as much if not more.

Bedard is a -38 and Faber is a +1. Faber won't win it but absolutely should.

I know he is only a kid, but from what i have seen of him he is a 30 foot player on offense with a great shot. When he plays the entire rink then we can start talking greatness.....

Yeap. And JW hasn't been tested too bad but he's made some nice saves.

It was nice to see Wallstedt get that shutout this time out. He was hung out to dry on his first NHL game against a Dallas team on a roll with no help from his team. After the first period he looked real calm and in control. He sure looks like he could be a real good one for us. Overall, this was the first game I have watched in a while where I didn't get frustrated and just turn the channel. Boldy had a real solid game today as did Rossi. Our young guys are starting to build something that could be real good if BG keeps adding talent and doesn't mess it all up with more stupid contracts......

Judd has a hockey show and 2 of them suggested exactly what we have wanted for a long time....some size on defense. Guerin has to see the reason we are 0-9 against these top teams....they have some size on D to go along with scoring depth
+.

Judd and guests suggested we trade Gus and Johanssen. I think you have to trade Brodin or Spurgeon also.

Trade Gus? Fleury won't be playing much longer and Gus is the goalie of our future. We keep trading away our up and coming goalies -but at some point we need to stick with, and continue to develop, the one we've got.

Jasper is the goalie of the future and near future if we trade Gus...he is the one we develop just a year earlier.

I get frustrated with Boldy. He plays hard so you have to respect that but he gets about 3-5 grade A chances almost every game and pisses them away. It's like he's really snake bitten because he works so hard and it rarely pays off.

I say frustrated because it's hard to get mad at him when he works his ass off.

Yeap. JW is the guy. Theory out there is Fleury will play one more year and he has flat out stated "it's MN or retirement". As much as I've railed on him being a Wild player, there are a lot of guys that would be a worse mentor to JW.

The problem with Gus is he's not as talented as JW and he crapped away his trade value in the middle of the season with his slump. If it were his first one, maybe...but he has a history of going in to them. Obviously we can't carry 3 in to next season so you have to "get what you can for him". Sucks though as he might have fetched a 1st rounder before the slump.
