ORIGINAL: marty My perspective right now it is that it is likely again the Bears win the division, unless Murray exceeds expectations, if he is decent, the Vikings could be at their heels. Or if McCarthy shines. Chicago - Caleb Williams along with Ben Johnson is a strong foundation Minnesota - I expect a 2nd place finish in the division, unless the regular season gets a little magical like it was with both Cousins and Darnold Detroit - 3rd in the division, still feeling the loss of OC Ben Johnson, Pacheco is sort of a wildcard here, but my guess he will get injured and miss plenty of the season. GB - A rare occasion where I pick GB to finish last in the division. They will likely miss their defensive coordinator, but their passing game can keep them in any game. I also feel like they lost some good depth in FA. This is a pretty competitive division, nobody really sucks. I feel if the Vikings win the division, they will be in the NFC Championship game, maybe make it to the Super Bowl. Unless they improve on the offensive line and at quarterback, the Vikings will be in dead last place. On day one, they will have the worst team on paper at both positions. Brian Flores was the only reason they won nine games. The Vikes were #7 in the league in scoring defense. Only six teams scored less points on offense. Is Oline a position? If healthy... Darrisaw, Fries, O'Neil, and Jackson are pretty good on paper.....but all 4 were dealing with injuries last year. Viking fans know these basic facts. Drive by trolls, not so much. The best thing is they upgraded at Swing Tackle early.....Skule was horrible last year. I think if things fall right, we can find a true starting Center in the 3rd Round. Who knows about the accuracy, but read the day two picks will be based on on-field production (vs. combine numbers, high ceiling, athleticism, etc). Sounds boring/safe but boring is good. So what if someone ranked in the 93rd percentile in the short shuttle. The production types probably have a better understanding of the game and that translates to the field. Maybe a center will be on their big board in rounds 2-3.
