I cant believe we lost to a team with a terrible defense and a qb named Matt Moore! Ouch! We gotta get the next game. However I think it's going to take 31 points from the offense to do it.

It's in Dallas, inside, on turf. We'll do better.

Cook didn't seem to have quite the burst on grass.

The media is starting to make fun of all the "Zimmerisms"

This team is so frustrating and yet so predictible in just how and when they will faulter.

In the third quarter its just so easy to draw up several scripts in ones head of how the Vikes can blow the game and then watch as it all comes true...

Groundhog Day all over again...

What a bunch of shit!

Ragnat was in here predicting it all last week. It sounded like <crickets>

All North teams lost today.

Poor us, though ...

We gotta be ready for the game in big D! Seems like a huge game for us. Just find a way to win. Hopefully Theilen didn't get set back 3 weeks.

Bruce Johnson -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/3/2019 6:29:41 PM)

I miss-fired on my recording today. What happened to Thielen?

Right.

Ragnarök -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/3/2019 6:34:53 PM)

I was speaking very generalized of how Zimmer coached teams seem to play out close games in his history of coaching Vikings...

You just always get that feeling that you can almost guess how they will lose a game rather than rally around a unit or player and carry the team to a win...

Its been a script we see often with this team, It was not commentation or gloating on thinking I knew just how this given day was going to go all along...

There have been far more Anti Minneapolis Miracles in Zimmers tenure, and maybe even deeper, almost the whole Viking past gives one pause to consider how your team is going to punch you in the gut yet again...

No one hopes for such outcome, but long term results tend to condition a person to certain things that seem like they are predestined...

I'm not sure he made it past the first real exceleration.

I didn't have the volume up for 99% of it so Im not sure what they said

The Happy Norseman -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/3/2019 7:05:01 PM)

At this point we can safely predict the Vikings record going forward:

Dallas - L
Denver - W
Seahawks - L
Lions - W
Chargers - L
Packers - L
Bears - W

An 8-7-1 record followed by a 9-7 record, with this roster, is inexcusable.

Pretty much how I see it but wouldn’t be surprised if we win one of GB/LA

Then it’s time to say bye bye to the Spielman and Zimmer. One miracle playoff win

We’ve seen enough. Time for a new regime
No more, “just give us one more year, we’ll fix it”

Loses to both Daniels and Moore with both teams missing several starters

That last couple pages(in here) say the CBs are horrible, DLine can't get any pressure and OLine is substandard.

9-7 sounds about right.

If the last couple of pages are anywhere near reality we won't win another game

DBs don’t know about horrible, but certainly haven’t lived up to their draft spots

I’m not sure what they add

If you’re going to have guys play 5 yards off the WR. Draft corners late and build the D up front

We aren't the same defense on the road. That's for sure.

I really thought we were controlling the 2nd half until the 91 yarder. It kind of shocked the defense. He only had to make one guy miss. Missed assignments or just a DLine not ready.

thebigo -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/3/2019 8:02:02 PM)

Patriots rolling over.

And for anyone pounding their chest about this team after Oct. They whipped on the Redskins, Giants and Lions lol

Been 1 win this vs a quality opponent in Phi and even that took a public call out by Zach Brown to get Cousins to play well

1

Arlowe84 -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/3/2019 8:24:18 PM)

Btw. I guess Priefer wasn’t the problem after all

Maybe if Zimmer wouldn’t have cut Carlson and signed an over the hill Bailey we wouldn’t have missed that extra point

Was just another, dumb, emotional move

David F. -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/3/2019 8:39:29 PM)

We’re special teams that bad today? Missed an extra point and punted short out of bounds to keep it from tyreek hill. Still netted 42 per punt and generated a turnover on the opening kick of the second half.

Patriots rolling over.

I doubt it. They won't panic and will make adjustments.

SteveR -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/3/2019 8:52:53 PM)

I'm not super down on the loss today. I viewed the game as a test to guage our mettle. I thought we were a 9-7 team going into the season, and today's loss had kind of a 9-7 feel to it. We got to get better at beating decent teams. That's all there is to it. We'll get another chance at a decent team next Sunday, in prime-time no less.

Road games on grass seem to always be iffy with us anyway.

I still say our "elite" defense is a media narrative. We have an okay defense, but they are prone to letting use down. Offense needs to score points, especially against the better than decent teams.

I can't believe Green Bay lost today, though. It kind of sucks not to gain a game on them when the opportunity was there.

9-7 this year seems like we miss the playoffs. We gotta get the game in Dallas. If we lose that one 9-7 seems extremely likely. The talent on this team seems higher than that. Maybe we aren't as good in the talent department as I thought. Either that or the coaches aren't getting the most out of this group. One thing for sure our corners aren't good in coverage.

Ragnarök -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/3/2019 9:06:44 PM)

We are a couple players away yet... trim the fat, another good draft and maybe the players will be able to make enough big plays to win big games...

Extended week to prepare and I didnt see anything that told me this coaching staff has what it takes to prepare a team to win a big game...

Thanks Zimm

Richard Neussendorfer -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/3/2019 9:20:09 PM)

Well losing to Daniels and Matt Moore doesnt give me a warm fuzzy feeling. That's for sure!

Zimms 6 wins this year combined record of those teams 16-34

Have beat up on cellar dwellers

Not even 3 wins per team more than halfway in

Arlowe84 -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/3/2019 9:35:51 PM)

Watching Zimmers press conference he looked defeated and lifeless

Honestly didn’t look like he cared

Maybe he knows the end is finally here and he’s dreaming about retiring on his ranch
