LOST: Vikings thread

It has been missing for a couple days.

It is quite dysfunctional and loaded with people with differing points of view. but it was supposed to be focused on the Vikings.

It was believed to be hijacked by a Vaccine debate and degraded into personal insultitude.

If you have seen it, please call 800-vikings.

Thank you.

Yeah it went askew a while back with COVID, just consider this the second wave.

To be fair, COVID is the biggest story in the NFL this week.

Unfortunately it is.

Honest question - is KG a real person or some sort of internet bot?

Paulgly. What has given you any indication that I'm a bot? If your question is actually honest the answer is I'm a real person. I don't believe it was an honest question.

Oh it really was an honest question. I've been on several different message boards and I'll just say your posting style is...ummm....the most unique I've ever seen. So it was hard for me to believe that they are from an actual person.

Do you really think that MULTIPLE people are basically telling you the same thing about your posts and it's all THEIR problem? I will let you have the last word (and judging by pretty much every thread you are a part of, you will) and not respond further. I have plenty of other nonproductive things to do today...

Nobody is telling me anything about my posts. Bill Johanssen is the very definition of jerk or worse in the dictionary. I have him on ignore. Bohumm for some reason is choosing to be a jerk to me, but other than with me I think he is OK for the most part. He decided we have some feud a couple years ago. Others are thinking they are funny attributing stances to me that are totally fabricated and making jokes about my fabricated stances. I'm open and honest so it makes me a target.

LOL, you have me on 'Peek' mode.

Poor you, a "target". Playing the victim card because, as was pointed you, you have zero self-awareness.

I went to the political thread once and it was way more than enough for me. I've never seen so much hate and horribleness in my life. This isn't a cesspool. This is more like the Venetian canals when compared to that.

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (6/18/2021 12:33:32 PM)

Minus the attention seeking there's been plenty of good posts the last couple of days.

The thread police (also attention seeking) would just as soon see no posts and it be boring af as long as it was neat and tidy.

"Especially since it isn't FDA approved."

This is why we fail as a society and experienced 600,000 COVID deaths plus other ramifications already posted.

So what were people suppose to do before the Vaccine; maybe take an FDA approved drug? I thought science is important to you? You really should have pre and post vaccine numbers....(If you are going to blame the non vaccinated group for the pre vaccine deaths).......

I'm not, and the numbers were an illustration. The point is people of your ilk or persuasion have fought this all along with the "Give Me Liberty and Give Me Death" mantra. Idiots like Bruce Johnson saying masks do not work missing entirely that they can at least help. And even now you discredit the vaccine with misleading statements like "Especially since it isn't FDA approved." Much of society choosing to follow their leaders failed and inept policy combined conveniently with pure selfishness led to many unnecessary deaths. And while I consider you more moderate in the sense that you have masked, vaccinated, etc, a large segment of society is giving the middle finger to its health.

This one kills me. The people who invoke the founding fathers as they defy mask mandates and refuse vaccinations. One person even told me that the founding fathers would spin in their graves if they saw the way our rights were trampled with covid restrictions. My answer was that the founding fathers would come out of those graves and kick you in the nuts for making such a stupid statement.

My ilk has wore a mask for over 14 months; stayed home; maintained social distance....some god posters don't realize that just because I got the vaccine I had my doubts especially after the 4-6 hours of sickness after the 2nd shot and the day of sickness my fiance had but those god posters know what everyone should do and think. That is where I am confidence wise...I was about 90% confident when I got my first shot; 95% right after the 2nd and 60-70% 6 hours laters after I was sick that I did the right thing.

Would I do it again; of course.

Don't put a half ass stamp approval on a vaccine and tell me something doesn't stink.....I had the vaccine and was sick for up to 8 hours and my fiance for almost a full day; I can't tell you to get vaccinated because of it.

Those side effects are really signs the vaccine is working, not signs of a problem. The problems are stuff like anaphylaxis or blood clotting issues.

You are a straight shooter.

Didn't some country advise people not to travel by air after getting vaccine. Not sure if it was for just a short period of time or if it was an extended time.

I remember a time when one college football player got myocarditis and it was the apocalypse. Cancel the season.
Now 100s of cases have been reported from getting vaccine and it is like , MEH. Do it for the team.

I get that people want things back to somewhat normal but to just call people selfish without even hearing their reasoning is wrong.

To all my fellow male posters who've been Great fathers...

Happy Fathers's day.

I always say the favorite title ever bestowed upon me was: Daddy. That will likely never change...until someone calls me Grampa.

Beasley expressed confusion over the new protocols and didn't shy away from criticizing the NFL and NFLPA.

"This is crazy. Did we vote on this?" he tweeted. "I stay in the hotel. We still have meetings. We will all be together. Vaccinated players can go out the hotel and bring covid back in to where I am. So what does it matter if I stay in the hotel now? 100 percent immune with vaccination? No.

Poor guy.

So afraid of getting COVID.

If only there was something he could do to reduce his risk almost to nothing.

If only...

College football was not not cancelled because of one case of myocarditis, however serious.

No. Several hundred people who got the vaccine also got myocarditis, which is about the same number of people who would have gotten myocarditis, but maybe a few more or perhaps the timing was suspicious in some cases. It's possible, for example, that more cases were found because people were more likely to get every issue checked out after vaccination. In young men, most myocarditis cases are minor, with no known cause, and resolve quickly; so it wouldn't be surprising if many cases go undiagnosed in normal times. So it's not clear whether any of the different vaccines caused or worsened any of these cases.

And to repeat what I posted above, there is a large team of people gathering as much data as they can about each case in an attempt to resolve this issue.

At this point, compared to the speculative risks from that issue, the established risks from COVID are several orders of magnitude larger.

Do you have an answer for blood clots that could lead to strokes or worse?

and Anaphylaxis(which I had to look up). Possible life threatening allergic reactions.

Maybe you'll come up with some more coincidences.

Using this line of thinking. How many people in the U.S. actually died from Covid? In your opinion.

Edelman is Beebe with experience. I'll take Fitz over him every day of the week. I think we might all be surprised with our receiver from Iowa. A good #3 with the ability to return punts and kickoffs.

I agree.

I watch Iowa Hawkeye football.

If Ihmir Smith-Marsette can step up to NFL caliber, and Marcus Sherels or Cordarrelle Patterson returns.

We good.

Will Zimmer let him play?

Wtf knows.

“Uh .. rookies needs to sit….

It helps them develop… to watch from the sidelines and learn the NFL Game…”

Fn dinosaur.

more like 'beebe aspires to be edelman, but will never be'....i would love it if ihmir was given a chance, but i'd still like someone like edelman/tate as a back up - and they each have punt returning experience....

of course Fitzgerald would be preferable, but I don't think that we work for him....

yes, whop philyor...a journalist ask zimmer if 'whop can do?' and zimmer replied 'oh yeah, whoop de doo'....

zimmer did mention philyor, and osborn, too for that matter....

let's sign golden tate to a $2m/yr - it's an inexpensive step up...punt returner, wr#3/4....
