Rodgers is posting the push off Williams did on the late TD reception. Looks pretty clear to be Off PI.

I agree he pushed off... but you very rarely are going to get that call... need to hand fight that off to not give up a clean push off.

We got some calls today also. The body weight personal foul om JJM was iffy. I thought we did the same thing to Goff a couple times.

I'm with the announcers on that call. Don't like the rule, but it is the rule.
It was implemented as a knee jerk reaction after Aaron Rodgers threw a world class hissy fit when Anthony Barr broke his collar bone. That play was part of a pattern of the Lions trying rough McCarthy up and intimidate him. The leg whip personal foul by Hutchinson was another one.

I remember Packer fans calling Barr dirty and trying to injure Rodgers because in .00004 of a second he shifted his weight to come down just the right way to injure Rodgers....It was laughable.

and then the very next year Clay Matthews Jr got called for the NEW RULE INTERPRETATION when he came down on Cousins and didn't think it should have been a foul.

I remember people describing how Barr maneuvered his body in mid air to maximize driving Rodgers into the ground. I thought that these people much watch the matrix and believe it's real.

Steve Lentz -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/3/2025 11:03:21 PM)

Not many tougher games than Detroit at Detroit!!!

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/4/2025 3:14:37 AM)

This might later be looked upon as one of the greatest regular season road wins in Vikings history.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/4/2025 3:15:50 AM)

If Jones is hurt, any interest in getting a much younger, similar back to him in Breece Hall for a 3rd rounder?

TJSweens -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/4/2025 7:20:59 AM)

NO! No more Queasy trading draft picks

Not for a rental. Hall looking to get paid next season.

And we have Mason next year.

And two years after that to the tune of $3 million in void year cap.

NFL QB Ratings Top-5

1) Lamar Jackson, Baltimore
2) Sam Darnold, Seattle
3) Dak Prescott, Dallas
4) Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City
5) Drake May, New England

That's exactly my point, Kwesi sucks at drafting, and wouldn't draft a RB better than Breece Hall in the 3rd round. Give the Jets a 3rd rounder for Hall.

Hall is almost 6 years younger than Aaron Jones, and gives you a great thunder and lightning combo with Mason for the next 3 years. Basically the same combo you have now, except the RBs would be better paired as they're almost the same age.

You're also looking at him demanding ~10M next year.

Exactly. It comes down to how much cap you’re to willing use at the position. Obviously you could go deep and experienced, but at what cost to other positions?

Lars -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/4/2025 1:14:10 PM)

2 firsts for Sauce?! That's some tall cotton.

For a 1st Team All-Pro in each of his first two seasons? At a premium position? That's cheap.

You haven't been paying attention.

Kwesi only sends a 3rd to the Jets if they're dealing an injured Aaron Jones.

And he's only 25 years-old and locked upo through his Age 30 season.

They traded for the entire prime years of one of the best CBs in the game.

Lars -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/4/2025 1:45:48 PM)

We'll see....

And now they have dealt Quinen Williams to the Cowpukes.

A proven commodity over two potential busts...

I'd do it.

David Levine -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/4/2025 5:36:18 PM)

Brady on JJ:

“He’s doing a lot that we can actually see when the ball’s snapped,” Brady said of McCarthy. “He’s doing a lot before the snap. And I think that tells me that Kevin O’Connell is putting a lot of trust in him to get you in and out of the right plays.

“That last play on the scramble for the touchdown, that’s pretty easy for him. He’s been doing that since high school. The harder things are getting a play in the huddle, getting the operation right, getting us into the right play, handling the protection schemes, and then making accurate throws.

“And outside of the one throw where he threw it behind Nailor on the interception, there’s so many positives from what I’ve seen here today. Accurate throws, good decisions, good times to throw the ball away. Definitely giving this team the spark that it needed coming into a very tough place to play.”

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/4/2025 6:34:55 PM)

I understand now, instead of having a great 1-2 punch at RB with Hall and Mason for the next 3 years, the Vikings will still have the thunder with Mason, the lightening will be an aging Jones, or the rising star that is Scott, and an extra 10 million to throw at injury prone players. Got it [;)]

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/4/2025 6:37:07 PM)

Brady vs Brad. Tough call. One is the GOAT and one has begged the board to say he's right and then he'll stop.

First off it's lightning not lightening.

Moreover, that's twice you've posted having both for the next 3 years. Especially since the trade deadline has passed, that is pie in the sky unicorn thinking at best. To have both for three years would require new contracts for BOTH players.

As it stands, Hall will be a UFA this coming offseason and Mason the year after.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/4/2025 7:05:47 PM)

Thanks for undoing the correction that autocorrect did to my lightning, you bring the thunder from down under.

Wow, imagine paying 2 good RBs that are entering their prime, when you can instead have an aging one, or a more average one to complement the thunder.

Maybe Breece Hall now gets hurt, and then the Vikings can get him at a discount price in free agency 2026.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/4/2025 7:21:53 PM)

I suppose Zavier Scott is a lighter version of Breece Hall, so you end up with Thunder and Lightening [&:]

Zavier Scott does seem like a better option than the lightening running of Ty Chandler. [:'(]
