Since we are out of it, it will interesting to see if we continue the 'feel good' farewell tour for HSmith and Theilen. We should be seeing in Ward can play safety and if Felton can contribute as a 3rd/4th WR. Whatever KAM's buyout is, do it. Bring in a new GM as quick as possible and turn it over to him. Let him decide KOC and JJM's fate. Not sure how it would work with the Scouts but ours aren't doing a very good job.

Guess Thielen, with his glorious 8 catches is taking Felton's reps. Gave up the equivalent of a late 3rd for those two. Why even draft Felton if he is not going to play... just pass on the pick. Note: Felton was pick 102, a comp pick, the last pick in the 3rd. If there were no comp picks he'd have been a high 4th.

Couple that with drafting a 5th round project in the top 10 and what could possibly go wrong? Maybe they can learn a lesson in this but I doubt it. Read a striking comparo. Since 2010, the NFL's designated dysfunctional team, the Jets, have won two playoff games. Since 2010, the Vikings have won two playoff games. KAM thought he was Bill Beane, saving money while showing off his drafting skills. The problem is, he's an analytics guy and not a football guy. I don't think Kevin O'Connell wanted McCarthy from the beginning. He wanted either Darnold or Jones. Now he's stuck with a guy that will eventually get him fired. I'm hot and cold on O'Connell. He hasn't shown the ability to change culture. He seems like a glitz and glitter guy that wants to be their friend.

The ending was rough for Sam. The offensive line was a complete mess and solid defensive coordinators had figured that out. The Rams sacked him nine times. Not many guys are going to have a good ending with that scenario. I will always choose results over hope. Hope almost always leads to disappointment when it comes to the Vikings.

Fair enough. I'll agree with them being at different points. I liked Sam but didn't think he'd get us there. If he leads Seattle to a playoff win in the very first year and looks good doing it I may have to admit I'm wrong. At least he can complete a 15 yard pass without it seeming to be a miracle. The ending was rough for Sam. The offensive line was a complete mess and solid defensive coordinators had figured that out. The Rams sacked him nine times. Not many guys are going to have a good ending with that scenario. I will always choose results over hope. Even the mighty Mahommes looked pedestrian in the SB w/o good protection.

Was never a fan of the pick but of course I wanted him to succeed. Its painful watching this guy play at this point.
