Pablo out for the season. That's a blow to our chances.

A blow to our chances to deal him at the deadline. Our chances of competing were non existent before he was injured.

Is Ryan ready to be the ace of the staff?

Nope
You trade for someone similar to Pablo or trade away Joe Ryan at this point. Anything else doesn’t make sense.

It's actually a blessing. We get a head start on seeing what we have in Zebby and Taj.

I agree. There is another spot in the rotation for a developing arm I wouldn't be surprised to Prielipp before the year is over.

They were already fighting for that last spot....so you think we should trade Joe Ryan then?

It’s a blessing to anyone who took the under on wins this season. Which I’m sure was already low.

This is just so freaking bad.

The Minnesota Twins suffered a major setback during their first full-squad workout, an elbow injury that likely will sideline ace Pablo Lopez for the entire season.

General manager Jeremy Zoll told reporters at the club's spring training facility Tuesday that López has a "significant tear" in his right ulnar collateral ligament. He was seeking a second medical opinion but expected to need Tommy John surgery, Zoll said. López ended his bullpen session early on Monday after experiencing soreness in his throwing elbow.

It might mean Buxton agreeing to waive the no-trade clause...

You agreed with me.[:-]

On a 1-10 scale what would we rate this offseason.
I go with 1.5. It's possible to have been worse, but extremely unlikely.

TJSweens -> RE: General Twins Talk (2/19/2026 2:12:55 PM)

When your biggest acquisitions are replacements for France and Vazquez, you didn't have a good off-season.

If they didn't sign relievers I would give it a 2.....they are at about a 4 for me currently. I have this feeling that they will be trading Buck and Joe Ryan now......that would make it less than zero.

I'm factoring in losing Lopez for the season? Are you?

You can't do that.

Still a Twins fan unfortunately for me.....I was probably a 9 or 10 after their playoff series win. A 4 is pretty low for me.

Of course i can do that. It's a big part of what has happened this offseason.

twinsfan -> RE: General Twins Talk (2/21/2026 12:47:32 PM)

Joe Ryan scratched from his start because of back tightness.

TJSweens -> RE: General Twins Talk (2/21/2026 12:59:26 PM)

Fun time at the game last night. Jenkins legged out a double in his first AB and Sabato Gigante got a hit. Zebby had plenty of velo on his fastball and sinker.

TJSweens -> RE: General Twins Talk (2/21/2026 1:01:32 PM)

I've decided that I'm all in on Shelton. He reminds me of the Most Interesting Man In The World.

That is another example of you being plain dumb and the key to success in whatever endeavor in life is thinking the opposite of you.
