I'm excited to see the young players.

74 million dollar payroll on the field. 31 million dead cap. 10 to Carlos. 1.5 million to Alex Jackson. 21-22 to Pablo.

27th payroll with dead $$$$

Marlins payroll is the lowest at 77 million.

Outside of Keaschall no one is really that young. The Twins will eventually be forced to bring up Jenkins Erodg Zebby etc. Ticket sales will be very low.

Phil Riewer -> RE: General Twins Talk (3/25/2026 7:52:07 AM)

I thought we would see our last sequel of Major League after leaving the Metrodome but here we are once again.

There are going to have to have 5-6 minor miracles to be a .500 team.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: General Twins Talk (3/25/2026 10:34:41 AM)

Prediction:

They're going to suck.

Last place finish here we come.

The return of the immortal Twinkies

twinsfan -> RE: General Twins Talk (3/25/2026 10:35:40 AM)

Royce Lewis says the Twins are going to be good. He doesn't understand why so many people are doubting this team. I'm with Royce (Lewis, not White).

I'm shocked! I really thought Royce Lewis would say..."We are really going to suck. The fans should save their money and stay home."

You're just a really challenging personality to deal with.

How?

Like I said it would be 4-5 minor miracles just to get above .500.

TJSweens -> RE: General Twins Talk (3/26/2026 9:14:39 AM)

I saw Lewis play four times this spring. I'll say his defense looks really, really good. He made a few plays that bordered on spectacular. I hope his off season work with a hitting coach pays off. His swing wasn't there in the early going, but he did finish with a home run. My take on him is there is too much talent, dedication and work ethic to not succeed as long as he doesn't get derailed by injuries again.

We have no weaknesses.

Prediction: 86-76

Because he hit about .130 this spring.

They deserve to score 1 run batting Caratini above Lewis and Lee.

They deserve to score 1 run batting Caratini above Lewis and Lee.

This year is about getting Bradley, Abel and Mathews some experience. If we can compete a little bit, that will be a bonus.

For sure....also I still don't understand the Larnach move.....they have 3 OF they should be training at the ML level and they are at St. Paul.

They used Larnach in the perfect spot yesterday. He's useful. It just didn't work out that time.

If you crunch the numbers.....is he worth 6-7% of your a teams cap?

It was rumored that they signed him because they could trade him but in the end no one wanted him at that salary.

There's no salary cap in baseball. Nice try.

You know I am not talking about a salary cap. Look up what the total is on the field. If they spent more it still didn’t make sense to resign him.

The other point is they wanted to trade Larnach and couldn’t find a partner. He is at best an avg hitter and a below avg fielder that is also a strong side platoon.

Well Shelton has made history. Ejected for arguing an ABS call.

Actually I think he was not arguing the call itself. He was saying they didn't signal for the challenge soon enough. But he will still get notoriety for it.

I didn't understand why he thought it was too late. The pitcher called for the review right away, but home plate umpire wasn't looking. I would have been upset with the hitter for standing there and looking at a pitch that close with a runner on base when you're down two runs in the 9th inning.

He was was trying to fire up the team and went too far...

Really stupid they moved the fences in at Kauffman. Messing with a flawless park. Not cool.
