That's a pretty weak list for 50 years. Two things factor into it. 1) The Twins have never been good at drafting and developing pitchers. 2) When they do draft and develop a good pitcher, they trade him as soon as they have to pay him.

You're just mad Scott Baker made it.

No one ever said he wasn't durable.

But when that's your claim to "fame"...

Honestly out of the innings list; which ones in the list you posted are in the HOF?

He wasn't even all that durable. He missed starts almost every year and topped 175 innings twice in his career. This was at a time when 200 innings was the benchmark for a starter. Baker hit that sweet spot for the Twins of being good enough to stay in the rotation, but not so good as to worry about paying him a lot.

Phil Riewer -> RE: General Twins Talk (11/21/2025 10:44:50 AM)

So:
Topa resigned
Backup Catcher traded for.

Might be all the action that is seen.

, the Topa deal is $1,225,000.

Less than his $2M team option and lower than the $1.7M arb projection.

Speculation is that Larnach will be traded or non tendered today.

David Levine -> RE: General Twins Talk (11/21/2025 4:01:34 PM)

Twins have acquired two position players since the season ended: Alex Jackson and Ryan Kreidler.

Jackson is a 29-year-old career .153 hitter in 160 games in the majors.

Kreidler is a 28-year-old career .138 hitter in 89 games in the majors.

TJSweens -> RE: General Twins Talk (11/21/2025 7:23:15 PM)

The Twins apparently got enough trade interest in Larnach that decided to tender him. The ultimate goal is to trade him.

Vazquez will be happy to see those two.

I think that quote really sums up the rollercoaster of emotions we feel during football season. We spend all this time analyzing plays, strategizing, and feeling smart about our picks, only to watch our teams make baffling decisions. It's like we're constantly trying to navigate a difficult game where the odds are stacked against us. Makes me feel like I'm playing Slope Game sometimes – just trying not to crash and burn! Let's hope our teams can defy that fate this year.

Jackson is a weak hitting backup catcher acquired to replace the last weak hitting backup catcher from last year Christian Vasquez.

If Kreidler makes the roster the GM should be fired immediately.

Of course I wouldn't be unhappy if he were fired now either.

Didn't realize there was such disdain for Jeremy Zoll.

Falvey won't be fired....there is zero expectations of winning. Pohlads only have proven it once again after winning a playoff series that their only goal is the business side. In fact when you consider what the return was for Bader, France, Correa and being able to cut payroll plus get some prospects he probably got a bonus.

DSP cared less than their marketing team about winning.

You probably know T.C. Bear from the ballpark, where the cheerful bear and his “Animal Control” handlers dedicate themselves to making every Twins game a little merrier. But T.C.’s dedication to bringing smiles stretches far beyond three hours a day, 81 times a year at Target Field.

As part of the Twins organization’s outreach to the community this holiday season, T.C. delivered meal kits to area families in need this week.

After a shopping trip to -- of course -- Cub Foods, T.C. led surprise deliveries to five area families in advance of the Thanksgiving holiday. It’s the lead-in to an additional round of holiday outreach that the club will undertake over the next month, and of course part of the team’s broader efforts to reach out to the Twin Cities community.

“The Twins and T.C. Bear are proud to partner with Cub Foods to ensure families can come together for a warm, comforting meal this Thanksgiving,” said Twins senior vice president, community engagement Nancy O’Brien. “The holidays are meant to be a time for sharing gifts and spreading joy, and these meal kits -- paired with smiles and bear hugs -- are one way we play our part in that."

It’s that kind of commitment that has marked T.C.’s community commitment, garnering an award for the beloved bear. T.C. has earned the 2025 Community Impact Award among MLB mascots.

According to the club, the program is centered on three simple, memorable steps: Notice It, Name It and Share It. The program expanded dramatically in 2025, reaching more students, teachers, and families than ever before.

“This award exemplifies how important giving back is to us as an entire organization, from our executives to our staff, our players, our coaches and our mascot,” O’Brien said. “We strive to use all of our platforms for the betterment of the communities we call home. T.C. is a friendly, trusted face across Twins Territory and an important part of that path and process. This year was particularly special, with the creation and implementation of the T.C.'s Strikeout Plan youth mental health initiative in partnership with Thomson Reuters. We truly believe we have the best mascot in MLB, for his combination of entertaining fans and community commitment."

Just one more reason to love the Twins. There's a lot more to it than wins and losses. Such an important part of our community.

Yes, that makes up for the putrid baseball organization.

5 whole meals?

Somebody better make sure the Pohlads can still afford their mortgages this month!

Buxton is willing to waive his no-trade clause, which puts the Twins in an interesting position. If the paucity of frontline free agent outfielders prompts a team to make an offer for Buxton, how seriously would Minnesota take it? And if Buxton goes, does that mean the Twins would be open to dealing some of their pitching, too? The Twins are one of the most fascinating teams this winter because of the possibilities at their disposal.

The 10 we traded at the deadline weren't cornerstones except Correa. You are ok trading away the actual other 3 cornerstones?
