I just looked up the Colts-Chiefs playoff game.

The Colts RB Donald Brown was running for 5 yards per carry
Knile Davis, the Chiefs RB, ran for 3.77 yards per carry

Luck - 3 INTs
Smith - 0 INTs

The next week, he ran for 3.7 ypc

The Patriots RB, Ridley, 3.7

Brady - 0 INTs
Luck - 4 INTs

AMazing how other QBs, with similar or worse running attacks, don't throw 7 picks in 2 games

Lol Ridley take a look at Blount's numbers in that game. Think he had almost 150+yds and 4 TDs. The team had 250 yds rushing and 6 TDs!

Donald Brown had 5 YPC but only 11 carries, Luck had 45 yds on 7 carries along with 443 yds passing and 4TD 3INT.

Alex Smith had a good game I'll give him that, he actually has played well in the playoffs. The Chiefs did rush for 150 yds on 30 rushes without Jamal Charles who got injured early in that game, but they have Andy Reid as a coach.

Edit Luck's team gave up 87 pts in 2 games. Wilson's Seahawks gave up 92 pts in the final 8 games including playoffs against the Broncos, Saints twice, 49ers twice, Giants, Cards and Rams.

Until Luck cuts down on his INTs in big games I go Wilson

7 INTs in 2 playoff games last year

That would make Ponder blush!

In 3 playoff games Luck has a 70.0 passer rating

Try calling Seattle and offering them Luck for Wilson and hold for the laughter

I'd say the opposite would be even more true. Indy would hang up in approximately negative 5 seconds.

This is for JC. After watching last nights game I like Wilson more than I did before. He throws a nice pass and seems to know what he is doing. Still not on the Rodgers, Brees, Manning level but as good or better than any other QB in the game.
EDIT: oops forgetting about Luck. As good as any other QB but those four.

Wilson is like a rich man's Mark Sanchez to me. Sanchez was able to manage games and let his run game and defense do the rest. Wilson does much the same but he he's better on 3rd downs and avoids mistakes much much better than Sanchez. Plus the bonus of him running.

Difference is Wilson's arrow is going up and no reason why it won't continue, the Seahawks looked great again last night and Percy can keep a defense off balance even with Ponder as QB. Plus the Seahawks have underrrated receivers, Baldwin, Kearse and Lockette are all very spry and make things happen after the catch, plus Miller is a underrated TE as well. Sanchez OTOH stagnated partly due to his supporting cast, coaching and his confidence being shattered by plays like the "butt fumble". I wouldn't be surprised if Sanchez can play just as well if not better than Foles if given the chance.

Wow.

Wilson compares to a guy that's a 55% passer, throws as many picks as TDs and falls apart under pressure?

I know you think Luck is the greatest thing ever, but damn...

It is comical

Luck throws almost as many picks in 3 playoff games as Wilson does in a season yet Wilson is somehow Mark Sanchez

Basically Rob said that Wilson is what Mark Sanchez would be if Sanchez was actually good. It's pretty accurate. You Wilson lovers should not be getting your undies in a bunch over that.

David Levine -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/5/2014 5:13:02 PM)

So saying Luck is a rich man's Christian Ponder is a compliment?

JC your ranting is ridiculous. 2 games. Anything can happen. Luck did not play well in those two games all in all but didn't his teams score a lot of points? So there must have been some good with the bad. Wilson is good. Luck is good.

And somehow that causes you to throw the ball to the other guy?

Never heard more excuses in my life

Luck is a career 81 passer rating/ 70 in the playoffs

Did you even watch the games? Those were Favre like picks

Did you even watch the game last night?

Instead of calling Wilson a "game manager"....how about "Short Right"? Those two pass attempts over 10 yards which were to the left sideline to wide open receivers were late and short. Both should have been intercepted. Then there was that pass where Zach Miller made an incredible play to knock an interception away.

I would call him SB winning QB who smoked Rodgers last night

Shall we compare the 2 QBs from last night or from the Super Bowl?

You have so much hate in you that you are grasping at straws

"Should have been..."

Let's stay based in reality

You are really making yourself look stupid with this post

Do you even know the final score of the game?

How about the QB ratings of both QBs?

Do you know who won the SB?

JC you keep ignoring that the other QB has to play against the Seattle D while Wilson only had to go against the Packers D. This is getting ridiculous. Wilson is good. He is not one of the greats.

That seattle D might be one of the greats and the O isn't bad either. Wilson is part of that O being very good but he could not possibly be in a more advantageous situation. Harvin is going to make him look good.

How come Montana didn't choke in the Super Bowl?

Denver had the #1 defense in the NFL in 1989

Joe put up 55 points

Shockingly other QBs are able to maintain or ELEVATE their performance in the biggest game

In 1988 he put 34 points on the #1 defense in the NFL - the Vikings.

The excuses for Peytons subpar SB performances have run out

I think Montana is the best QB in the biggest games that I've ever seen. I totally forgot about his SB win over the Vikings in 88 though.[;)]

John wasn't talking about a Super Bowl there, he had to go find an incidental stat to cherry pick. Hell, Luck put up 34 points on Seattle last year. See how that works?

Wasn't it being used as an example of how other QBs are able to maintain or ELEVATE their performance in the biggest game?

Personally, there's no player I'd trade Andrew Luck for in the game right now. I wouldn't even have to think about it for more than a second.
