Need a 2nd half comeback.

bstinger -> RE: RE:Gopher Basketball (Mens) (12/5/2017 9:24:04 PM)

We look inept on both ends.

bstinger -> RE: RE:Gopher Basketball (Mens) (12/5/2017 9:45:58 PM)

Mason out with 4 on a ticky tack touch foul, down 12 with 9 to go. Doesn't look good.

bstinger -> RE: RE:Gopher Basketball (Mens) (12/5/2017 10:03:30 PM)

Everyone having a bad night for the gophers. I hope this is an anomaly. We're making Nebraska look great.

bstinger -> RE: RE:Gopher Basketball (Mens) (12/5/2017 10:11:30 PM)

Where was this effort the first 38 minutes? Down 8 with 58 seconds to go, probably too little too late, but who knows.

bstinger -> RE: RE:Gopher Basketball (Mens) (12/5/2017 10:12:33 PM)

Strange time to use our last time out.

Coulda won a million bucks on that one
I gave us a one percent chance of winning that game last night
Tim Miles will cut your throat when you act like a fat rich hog.
We strutted in there like big shits.
We left like little puppies.

Sure wish we could have a judge like the one in the Untouchables when he orders the juries switched. Wish we could switch coaches.

As large as the obstacles for winning in Minnesota, the obstacles are a lot larger toward winning BB in Nebraska.

bstinger -> RE: RE:Gopher Basketball (Mens) (12/6/2017 11:54:49 AM)

I hope that serves as a wake up call to our squad.

That'd be awesome Miles
Who was it ... maybe Bum Philips? that used to say ... (when asked how good another coach was) ...
"he can't take his'n and beat your'n, and then he can take your'n, and beat his'n"

Loved that.

Gophers fall BIGLY to Razorbacks. OVERRATED!

No TV so I don't feel bad about wasting the time watching them. BTW, in this day in age with all the channels I'm paying for, how are then not on one of them. Ridiculous.

Lack of developed depth is going to hurt them all year. Whoops.

twinsfan -> RE: RE:Gopher Basketball (Mens) (12/9/2017 11:07:25 PM)

Lynch was in foul trouble as usual. There's no way they have the depth to win more than 1 game in the NCAA tourney, if they even make it.

All these pay networks. I know game was on SEC network which I don't have.

Tried finding it on facebook but no dice. Looks like we got manhandled.

Losing Curry was a huge blow.

With Springs graduating was a big loss as well.

Simply not enough playable players on this team.

That's an indictment on Richie's "recruiting"

You can only play 7-8 out of how many?

Terrible.

TJSweens -> RE: RE:Gopher Basketball (Mens) (12/10/2017 2:28:15 PM)

It's more of an indictment of Richie's coaching. He's had a couple of top 25 classes. He should have more guys than this developed enough to play.

I wouldn't say terrible. We are a ranked team.

But he needs to do a better job filling out the bench that's for sure.

Karl Juhnke -> RE: RE:Gopher Basketball (Mens) (12/11/2017 7:28:48 PM)

Who's the white guy who comes in from the bench? He literally does nothing. I've never seen him touch the ball.

Though I guess if he can play some D and eat a few minutes that's all they need from him.

Karl Juhnke -> RE: RE:Gopher Basketball (Mens) (12/11/2017 8:50:38 PM)

This team would be sub .500 without Murphy this year.

He's a beast. 24 points on 11-of-14 shooting, with 18 rebounds and four blocks. 12th straight double-double.

Hurt

From Rochester. Guess Richie was hoping by getting the older brother, the younger one would come. He's the better player. Likely not happening.
