You know, it's quite rare when you feel a team had to OVERCOME the officials in a playoff run and went on to win the SB. I can't really recall a team that had to do that, can you ? Most teams, either had a small or large officials bias, or neutral officiating, NOT a biased AGAINST them. Looking at past SB winners, if a team doesn't repeat, it's quite rare for a team to come back and win a SB 3 or 4 years later. That's a good thing thinking about the Packers the next few years [;)]. Maybe, like someone I know stated, the Packers weren't really that great of team this last year, it's just that Rodgers was playing at such a phenomenal level. But why weren't they such a great team, they almost had the same team back from the previous season ? OTOH, if some of the players around Rodgers pick up their game, the Pack will be better than the team that was 15-1 this last season. I'm glad to see the spotlight shined a little bit on this bias in officiating. I think it's important, and might be just as important in the Vikes turnaround as the next good FA or draft pick. It's either about perception, or maybe there are other factors. Whatever it is, it would be nice if the Vikes at least got neutral officiating when they go to Lambau, when they play a playoff game, and especially when in OT of a playoff game. I'm not sure the Vikes in the playoffs will be able to beat a good team like the Packers, on the road, beat the Packers AND the officials.
