Kyle Kendrick 7 Shut out innings.

Allegedly was on MN radar and I was hoping they'd pass.

That worked out well [;)]

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/6/2015 4:11:10 PM)

Boston has 4 solo HRs, 2 by Pedroia today.

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/6/2015 4:36:00 PM)

Lots of teams having troubles scoring today.

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/6/2015 4:45:01 PM)

Kemp 2-3/all 3 rbi's in Pads 3-2 lead vs Kershaw.

Howie Kendrick hitting 4th for LAD [:-]

Until fans quit attending games and paying ridiculous ticket prices and concessions it will not change.

Six shutouts for opening day games

1 loser scored 3,1 scored 4

MLB wants more offense? Not a great start by a lot of teams.

All kinds of new players in new places making immediate impacts on Day One
We kick tires here
And the sheep agree with some sort of mythical salary cap that holds us back
Go get players
Or lose

Honestly, I do not begrudge the Pohlads for not spending "enough" money. I do, however, chastise them for the idiot they have running the show. [:'(]

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/7/2015 1:16:10 PM)

Seriously, Bartolo Colon having success at this point just cracks me up.

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/7/2015 1:18:46 PM)

Oh, and ... Sonny Gray is going to be damn fun to watch progress.

He's high on drugs....leave him alone!

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/7/2015 1:25:45 PM)

Colon is an amazing story. Guile and Guts.

There are going to be multiple no-no's this year. SOME Hitters and teams will struggle much of the year.

Wonder if the Pads wish they'd kept Stauffer after that choke job vs LAD [;)]

Kurkijan went crazy on this yesterday .... Says he never dreamed we'd have so many "almost unhittable " pitchers.
Lots of guys with nasty stuff making many many hitters look silly
He sees what you do Ed.

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/7/2015 1:39:15 PM)

So what's the equalizer? lower the mound? Shrink the zone?

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/7/2015 1:49:42 PM)

Enjoy it? [:D]

I won't, but ....
The tough lineups, top to bottom, still make me jealous.

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/7/2015 1:52:14 PM)

Love how the Orioles piece things together.
They have some smart people making personnel decisions.

Twins don't have the pitching to stop any lineups. That no longer makes me jealous. Just sad. THis team is destined to flounder some more, Molitor or no.

Do they have enough hitting?

What was the Ryan goal this offseason. Do enough to keep selling tickets? I just don't think they did.

That's a direct shot across the bow of the Good Ship TRyan

The Twins mistakes are so glaring, because they hit the areas that are the biggest problems.

Yup
Gotta decide, whatchya gonna be good at.
Rarely can do both. Pick one.
Or be mediocre at both, and lose 90+ a year.
Managements choice.
Hope and prayer and fate have nothing to do with it.

Texas put a lot of eggs in both baskets
and have a lot of broken down pieces.

This year is nearly toast. They went for it, the cupboard's pretty barren and now what?

Angels are headed that way unless some pups rescue them.

Seattle thought to be up and coming.

Twins aren't for at least another year. That really stinks.

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/7/2015 2:02:34 PM)

Red Sox sign Porcello
Four years $82.5 mil

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/7/2015 2:04:47 PM)

Day Two of the season, and no afternoon games.

No kidding

Cubbies postponed

Guess they'll have another day to figure out how to eliminate 30 minute bathroom lines, and those peeing in empty cups.
