JJ finally back in for the O's
Pineda struck out 16 for the Yanks today as they beat Baltimore 6-2.
But JJ homered. (and was the only guy NOT to strike out) [;)]

That Pineda trade was always highway robbery to me. Montero was always one of the most overrated prospects in the history of the game. Imagine Seattle's rotation now if you also added Pineda. [:-]

We have definitely got to figure out pitching. I still think we have more "overall" talent than anyone in our division now, and that gap is going to widen soon when we add the best pure talent in the division in Buxton. But you still need pitching in the end.

The Indians have 2 studs.
The Tigers have 2 studs.
The White Sox have 2 studs.

What gives me a little hope is that Sale is going to get hurt at some point with that delivery/frame of his. And Price is still set to be a FA after this season and their owner is not long for this world, at which point payroll will dramatically decrease for them (they're in Detroit!). But we've still got to get our house in order. I like Berrios/Gibson as at least solid 3's, if not more. And Hughes obviously has shown flashes. Meyer still has a chance. But we really need 1 big gun still. I'd kill to have David Price on this team, but I think it's a stone-cold lock he'll be a Cub next year with it's proximity (1 hour flights all day long) to his home in Nashville and Maddon at the helm.

Unfortunately we have the worst pitching in the division. We don't have 1 stud pitcher.

Brewers trying to move out of worst-record status

Yanks keep rolling.

A Curt Schilling drive-by.
I'm pretty sure he's stalking me.

Rangers whup the Royales

Bryant is heating up for the Cubbies.

What you think of the boy, skilz?

djskillz -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (5/11/2015 11:00:12 PM)

He's a stud, man. I've always hated on the Cubs, but man, when they get Price next year? And with all those excess stud infielders to trade? They're going to be scaaaaaarrryyy. NL Central is crazy with them, the perpetually dominant Cardinals, and the soon to be best OF in baseball in the Pirates.

And they will have the best manager in baseball, too, you forgot. [;)]

Yup. Plus a great front office. And gobs of money. You think the Cubs have money now? Wait until the ticket prices change with a $500 renovation of their stadium complete.

Yep, those three cup holders will really help. [;)][;)][;)]

Think you meant 500 MIL

Andy VanSlick. One of my favorite non-Yankee '80's players.

The dude wastes a couple hundred feet on a bunch of his homers.
Save up brother.
Ya only gotta hit em a foot or two further than the sign ...... [:D]

Happy 90th Yogi Berra

Fact fact: Yogi Berra has 71 hits in World Series games -- 11 more than any other player in history.

Current slugging pct. of Dodgers lineup: .594, .492, .708, .776, .525, .587, .600. Note: Does not include Jimmy Rollins or the pitcher.

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (5/12/2015 11:50:24 PM)

Interesting chatter from Colorado about Tulo probably on the verge of being moved.
Sure wish we would someday be players in stuff like this.
But for now, you hear it, and simply go ... won't involve us.
Sigh.

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (5/12/2015 11:57:15 PM)

A's stop 6 game skid with a 9-2 win over the Bosox.

And it's no wonder they're 22-10 [:-]

That looks more like the Twins OPS numbers

You hear this and wonder who the Yankees are willing to give up to get him
