And Indiana it is. NY just wasn't ready for prime time in the end. Should be fun, physical games. Hopefully the refs won't call as tight a game as the refs in the West Conf Final gm#2.

With home court advantage and maybe their best health all year things are looking good for another Lynx Title. Is 5 years 3 titles and 4 finals enough to declare this run a Dynasty?

Yes in my eyes .... for this young league

Houston Comets won 1st 4, 1997-2000. They will always be the gold standard for how they did it and having the leagues original 'Big 3' in Sheryl Swoopes, Cynthia Cooper & Tina Thompson. They're kind of the Celtics for the WNBA.

Detroit Shock went to 4 finals in 6 yrs, 2003-2008 winning 3 Titles ('03, '06, '08) with basically the same solid core. (Reeve was an asst for the last 2)

If the Lynx can win it all it would be 4 Finals, 3 Titles in 5 years, 2011-2015. That bumps the Lynx just behind Houston in my book. And over the next 2 yrs who knows what may happen.

Now Phoenix does have 3 Titles '07, '09, '14, but missed playoffs and tanked it in '12 which sadly got them Griner in '13. Sadly because of plenty of fudging went on to suggest they weren't interested in winning many games that season and the poor East teams could have used the talent & publicity that came with such a #1 pick.

LA was the last to win back to back in '01, '02; Seattle has 2 Titles '04 & '10; Sacramento won in '05 and Indy in '12.
So yes what the Minnesota Lynx have built to this point is something for the ages, pretty special

No doubt, right Bruce? That, and, with MN sports history, there's talk of "this one will make us a dynasty Like it's pretty much in the books.

Yikes, I'm scared as hell.

The Lynx lost. Bummer. It's hard to recover in a five game series when you lose the first game at home. It won't happen.

Reeve called out Whalen and Augustus pretty harshly. Said flat out that they didn't step up. "They didn't get it done."

They probably don't have much left in the tank. It doesn't help them that they play in Europe, too.

Strong comeback in the 3rd quarter and a very solid 4th and it looks like we have a new series.

Now that the refs actually started making calls, the Fever coach didn't waste any time pissing and moaning about the refs. I got news for White. Catchings got called because she committed the fouls.

If the WNBA refs had any balls, the entire Fever team would foul out in the 1st quarter. And Catchings is the worst. Her way of creating separation on almost every play is a forearm to the head.

They're one of the dirtiest, chippiest, unlikable teams I've ever seen in any sport.

Also I really hope Lindsay is just injured and not at the end of a brilliant career. She's borderline unplayable right now. Thank god for Ana Cruz.

She deserves to be in the conversation of best Minnesota born and bred athletes of all-time. She's definitely on our "Mount Rushmore".

Athletes from Minnesota Mount Rushmore is an interesting Question. First name that comes to my mind is Kevin McHale. Neal Broten is second. Then I cheated and went to the internet and had to agree with the top four that ESPN did. David Winfield, Kevin McHale, Paul Molitor and Neal Broten. I have to give an honorable mention to Jack Morris. Depending on how you consider female athletes Lindsay could crack that list. Also I know it's en vogue to hate on Joe Mauer now but a catcher winning multiple batting titles and an MVP is really an amazing accomplishment.

This. I will grant you that a couple of the calls against Catchings were borderline, but there are also multiple fouls that should have called against her that weren't.

Even when you watch only the highlights ... Watch loose balls. Their gals go in like its a football scrum and expect either to kill the opponent, or come out with the ball or the foul.
A very entitled group.
Shouldn't the Lynx be the entitled group?
Their whiny B of a coach is simply trying to add to the complaints about us reaching the finals unfairly, which even the League seemed to agree with.
If the League doesn't fine her ass substantially for her statements, then something's damn wrong. Should probably include a suspension.
She basically said the refs were swayed or just dumb. You can't allow coaches to publicly say that stuff.

Back on Sept 9th as the regular season ended and Lindsay had sat out the last 2 wks or so I posted :

""…. Lindsay …. is still in a boot w/bursitis (sp) in her ankle & Achilles pain. ""

While the rest was helpful, I think we all know ankle, Achilles, foot issues don’t just go away in this short amount of time. I do believe it’s a bit of combo platter though (age & injury) that has her limited. Whay is kind of an old tank and January is a younger, quicker tank. Cruz & Montgomery at least match the quickness.

Brunson is not all right either. Good bet her knee may have flared up cuz at time you can tell she laboring up the court. Both sat out, what, the last 5, 6mins of the game. Both have to give the best burst that they have in ‘em, hopefully in timely spots; while the younger, quicker trio of Cruz, Montgomery & Peters need to continue to step up; Seimone needs to find her stroke; Maya & Sylvia need to keep hustling & watch the fouls. They still got a good shot a winning this thing
