It's nice to see the Lynx still being elite as their core players, Whalen, Augustus, Brunson and I think to a lesser extent Fowles are aging. Maya Moore is that good and Montgomery off the bench is the real deal.

Lynx and Sparks not that far from locking up the top two seeds for the playoffs. This year that is a DOUBLE BYE. I don't think that is the right thing to do, but I will take it.

Wow, Los Lynx looked fantastic tonight as they beat their own record for best season start. 11 and counting!

It's amazing how the additions of Perkins, Howard and McCarville off the bench has changed this team. This was the team they faced in the finals that made them fight tooth and nail for everything. Last night the Lynx just beat them down with ease. Now comes LA and the battle of the unbeatens.

Ogwumike of the Sparks recently made 23 consecutive FGs. Unreal. Candace Parker is one of the best in the league. This will NOT be easy.

How crazy is it that this team just set a league record for wins at the start of the season, yet only leads their conference by 1/2 game?

It is crazy, but conference hardly matters any more with the new playoff structure. The top two teams get a double Bye in the playoffs to the semifinals. The Lynx and Sparks are getting close to clinching those. They play each other back to back very soon. If one team sweeps that would pretty much lock up a top two seed while the other will come back to the pack a little bit. A split and they are both sitting pretty.

This pass by Maya...My goodness:

https://vine.co/v/iL9ljnxlwOW

She's playing, by far, the best ball of her career. Maybe not the gaudy scoring numbers of 2 years ago, but she's become our primary playmaker AND her defense has become exceptional.

She has had more rough shooting performances than I would like to see, but she is doing everything for the team.

Maya is absolutely the best player in the WNBA, but I don't know how much of a shot she has at MVP, because she won't have the pure scoring numbers that the winners of the award usually have. She is much more interested in facilitating winning than any personal stats.

She's 1.5 points off the scoring lead and less than 1 assist off that lead.

If we finish with the best record and she's Top 5 in scoring and assists, I can't imagine they'd not give it to her.

Plus you know she's going to have a flurry of 30+ point games at some point.

On a team with Lindsay Whalen that really is something to be among the top distributors in the league.

We're just CRUSHING them inside.

This would be a blowout if we weren't getting called for a foul on every defensive possession.

Those fouls could spell trouble down the stretch.
