Make the Vikes watch the last two Lynx games. Closers.

The only team with any balls in MN are the Lynx.

That was an outstanding 4th quarter.
Seems like a complete team.

The depth of the team carries them far down the stretch. You can see McCoughtry tiring at the end of the games one and two. Augustus was tired too, though, wasn't she. It's not easy to carry a team on your back.

Fun one.
These gals know how to finish.
Not sure I'd trust any T-Wolf to make all those key FTs down the stretch that Seimone nailed.
Loved the Ob full-court pass to Lyndsey that she calmly one-handed, corraled, and controlled.
99% of the men that play pro sports in this town would have botched that royally and then made an excuse.
These Lynx have swagger. Its fun to see.

The depth players stepped up last night. Taj went down with the knee sprain and Adair stepped right in. Even Amber Harris came in and gave them a few quality minutes up front. Once again Augustus distinguished herself from the other team's point maching. Simone is a more efficient scorer and she is better in the other phases of the game than McCoughtry. On a side note it has been interesting to watch our former PG Lindsey Harding play for Atlanta. She seems to have a little exra motivation going against us and Whalen. It's strange if she does harbor any hard feelings because I recall rumblings that she was not happy to wind up in Minnesota and kind of pushed behind the scenes to get traded almost from day 1.

Tim, that's true about Lindsey. I went to school with her (and Ali Bales from Atlanta) and know them pretty well from practicing against them. Lindsey was NOT happy here - though I wonder how much of it was the losing, too? She's a good player and I'm glad to see she's doing well.

And a funny story from last night. Ali left me tickets for the game, so I got to go. Great atmosphere, by the way. Before the game, I lean over to a friend there, point out Coco Miller and note how unfortunate-looking she is. Seriously, she still has that hairstyle? A little later, I happen to notice the woman sitting directly in front of me. You know, she happens to look a lot like Coco...ummm, I'm sitting right behind Kelly Miller! Definitely a foot-in-mouth reaction, even though I'm pretty sure she didn't hear me.

I talked to Ali after the game. She said they're gonna have to switch something up on Seimone (obviously) they started trapping her in the second half, and I'd imagine that would continue. The Lynx need Maya to play better and make them pay. Otherwise, Ali was really frustrated with the refs. She said they were continually warning the Lynx about stuff, but then calling ticky-tack stuff on Atlanta. We'll see if they get any home cooking in ATL. I really would have preferred to see fewer whistles, too, and though I thought the Lynx got the better end of it, I thought the Dream got some officiating breaks, too.

Pete, don't go giving advice to the Dream players.

One dumb thing for the Dream, I thought - Angel was on fire in the first half, but getting a lot of the points in the flow of the offense. Then she comes out early in the 2nd half and just starts jacking up wild shots and going 1 on 1. That cooled her off and let the Lynx back in the game.

There were a lot of fouls, indeed, in the game. Maya picked up quite a few right off the bat.

I am a bit concerned about the health of our ladies going in to tonight. Augustus tweaked something in her knee and Taj I am guessing is 50/50 on playing. They have to travel to Atlanta. Atlanta will have the home crowd to energize them. The Lynx had the best road record in WNBA history so they can certainly wrap things up in Atlanta but if the Dream have not been demoralized it is going to be very tough out there.

Tough to get a win tonight I fear.
The Dream are going to put all their effort into stopping the winless-in-the-finals skid.
Augustus looked gassed at the end of the game the other night.
Not expecting to see the cele tonight, but I do think it's coming.

I was shocked to see one of the Miller girls still playing (and looking the same way)
Funny story, Pete.

Pretty badly outplayed in Q1. Seimone with only 2 points, outrebounded by 2 and we committed 6 fouls to their 1.

But only down 3.

Fouls and turnovers are not our friends...

10 fouls and 13 TOs for us. 2 and 6 for them.

Lynx with a 6-0 run to take the lead. Tied now. Got to keep up the intensity but play smart. Way too many TOs tonight. Moore showing her athletic superiority over most of the players on the floor.

Nice finish on the third. Gutty rebound, win tipoff, and Brunson finishes at the hoop.

These teams are tired. No question about it. Lynx can bring more from the bench. Made the difference in the 3rd Quarter. Lynx up by 7.

The Lynx are just genuinely fun to watch. I mean it helps that the rest of MN sports blows right now, but that shouldn't take anything away from the Lynx.

They've had a lot of unwatchable seasons, but this team is entertaining as hell.
