Wow huge scoring for Whalen. I admit that I didn't expect her to put up that many points in a game this season.

Sparks got run out of the arena last night and some of their flaws were really exposed. They're a 2.5 person team. Ogwumike and Parker are the real deal, but they don;t have much after them. Tolliver can score, but she really can't run a team. They don't get much scoring from their SG or SF. So they're top heavy, but not a good team. Look at the numbers:

PPG/oPPG:
LA: 78.7/77.1; a 1.6 differential.
MN: 85.8/71.6; a 14.2 differential.

FG%/oFG%:
LA: .421/.422; a -.001 differential.
MN: .512/.379; a .133 differential.

3p%/o3p%
LA: .313/.373; a -0.06 differential.
MN: .411/.314; a .097 differential.

RPG/oRPG:
LA: 36.0/33.3; a 2.7 differential.
MN: 36.5/29.3; a 7.2 differential.

APG/oAPG:
LA: 15.9/15.7; a .2 differential.
MN: 19.1/12.7; a 6.4 differential.

The Lynx are absolutely dominating their competition. The Sparks are essentially playing even.

Yep the Sparks lose a couple in a row. I know they have nowhere near the depth of us and I certainly think we have the better team but sometimes a superstar can carry a team. I am not saying I expect the Spark to beat us but they are the team that concerns me the most.

Anybody having all access problems mine is acting like somebody is holding down an autofire button on a video game . Pausing and playing a few times a second. Really sucks.

Edit: Never mind I figured out the problem.

Worst quarter of the season. Just awful.

Lucky to only be down 6.

I have to mute the game. The Seattle announcer is like Kevin Harlan on speed.

He's going to have a coronary by halftime.

We didn't bother to show up.

Getting outworked, outhustled and outclassed on both ends.

Its not a case of missing shots, its playing like shit.

Lynx just don't have it tonight. They had about 3 minutes of energy at the start of the 3rd, but otherwise never showed up.

Maya: 3-10
Deimone: 3-11

They need to play the 4th at a totally different level if they want to get back into it.

Augustus misses a wide open 12 foot baseline shot. Four seconds to go have to foul or get the steal.

I don't love that play.
Seimone was open, but a long 2 with 9 seconds left?

Honestly, we didn't deserve to steal that game.

1 quarter of good play just can't make up for 3 quarters of indifference.

Sometimes it can. I have seen it on many occasions. I am depressed the undefeated season is lost.

And the streak is over. Now, maybe they can concentrate on getting ready for the playoffs. When is that, by the way?

You couldn't have missed my point by more if you tried. OBVIOUSLY it can happen.

The point is, they were out hustled, outworked and outclassed for 3 quarters. Tried to “turn it on” in the 4th, but it was too little too late.
