I hate to bring this up but remember how I told you all that Last year will be Whalen's best. I see her game as deferring to Maya and Seimone now.

You can bring it up as often as you want - I still don't agree with you.

And still not agreeing.

David what future year of Whalen's do you see as being better than Last year? I am pleased to see she is still capable of some big games. I hope I am wrong because if she can play as well or better than last year she is an MVP candidate. I feel pretty confident that what I said is accurate. She is a 30 year old athlete. Most athlete's best years come before the age of 30. I don't get why you have an issue with it.

http://www.wnba.com/features/race_to_12mvp_week5.html

This link is a list of the top 15 contenders for the MVP from WNBA.com Three Lynx make the list. None of them named Lyndsay Whalen. I know David I put too much emphasis on MVP standings. To be honest with recent developments I think Lyndsay should have been in the top 15.

Because you keep "hating to tell us".

First it was "she can't guard the quick players and we need to look for someone who can", then it was "her best is behind her".

She's a player in the John Stockton/Jason Kidd mode. Her game has never been all about quickness. Its about skill and smarts. She's the type of player that is going to beat you because she's smarter than you.

The WNBA MVP is essentially a scoring award. I don't believe a PG has ever won it.

I did say her BEST is behind her yes. That is all I have said. I still love her game and having her on the team. I am taking a critical look at Lyndsay. I do think she has trouble with the super quick type players but most players do. It wasn't that she couldn't guard the super quick players but more that she had to give the ball up when pressured by the super quick players. I would love to have a super quick PG with the amazing ball handling skills to back up Lyndsay. You say it is just a scoring award for MVP and maybe no PG has ever won it but Lyndsay finished second one year right and was she fifth last year? Last year was a freaking awesome year for her. If you expect to see that good or better again I think you will be disappointed. I haven't watched very many Lynx games this year but so far what I have seen on the court I would say that Lyndsay was better last year than she has been so far this year so I see my statement being backed up by what I see in the court.

My daughter was able to meet with the Lynx players after today's game. I'm not sure how that happened. Maybe they do that a lot.

She went with her husband. I think she got student tickets or something. (not sure)

I have not attended a game yet, but I'm sure I will.

I reread the text she sent me. It reads, I get to meet with the Lynx players after the game. (not, I got to meet)

Interesting how one letter can change the meaning so much.

I just read that Houston started 20-1 in 1998. Lynx have to win their next seven just to match. Wow. Houston finished 27-3. Is that record a possibility to match or beat.

There are 4 more games now (34 game season), so the record of 28 (happened twice in 32 game seasons) wins is possibly in danger.

Now, if we want to beat their .900 winning percentage, we have to go 31-3 for a .911.

30-4 would give us a .882 which would be the 2nd best all-time.

29-5 would be a .852, dropping us to 4th all time behind the 1998 and 2000 Comets and 2001 Sparks.

Once again the Silver Stars bring out the ugly in the Lynx game and win by 9. More than any other team the last 2 years they are really pain the Lynx collective ass.

Well it looks like being one of the greatest teams in WNBA history is out the window. Now looking to just get the repeat.

Considering the players they have, they SHOULD be one of the greatest teams in WNBA history. Maybe if they stick together for a couple more years.

Another big 4th quarter deficit.

Another frantic attempt to come back.

Another loss.
