ORIGINAL: Bruce Johnson I believe that the best player on the Lynx was not on the Olympic team. Do you all know who I am referring to? 41 yr old Taj McWilliams-Franklin. To do what she's doing at almost 42 is crazy But seriously, people can debate who the teams best player is and not really be wrong. But without a doubt this TEAM is REALLY special. Taj, what can you say; no one comes close to doing ALL of what Whalen does from the PG spot; nobody has the shot making creativity of Seimone Augustus; Brunson makes rebounding an art form; Maya is still a young pup who has time to make her mark; the rest of the young bench players have their moments. A team full of talent, great coaching staff, great player chemistry. With all the drama going on in WNBA right now, what we have here is about as close to perfect as a team could ever be. This team is just plain fun to watch in person, especially when they get on a roll. So I'm going to enjoy this while I can. Because we all know, nothing last forever Target Center has been really live for every home game coming out of the Oly break. Considering they have had games up against Vikes pre-seaons gm, nice weather, the State Fair & Twins gms right next store, its been great to see the crowds & have so much energy in the building. Fun write up from a bloger @ WNBAlien on this last home game: http://wnbalien.wordpress.com/2012/08/30/wnba-today-08292012-part-two-and-the-basketball/ quote:
•This was a fun game, played by two teams that are obviously brimming with confidence. Both teams were more than happy to push the pace whenever they had the chance, and both have the necessary team ethos to play effective defense. Neither could create much separation on the scoreboard.
