For those worried about us signing Browning instead of Jackson.

Bills waived QB Tyree Jackson.
Jackson shined in Buffalo's preseason finale — completing 22-of-33 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 78 yards and another score. The Bills likely want to stash Jackson on the practice squad, but he's not guaranteed to clear waivers.

I really didn't think he looked very good.

I bet they are going ballistic on the Bills Boards demanding the head of the GM.

Going into that last game he had completed 8 of 24 passes in the preseason.

Per Ian Rapoport, Vikings still trying to trade Treadwell, but he will be cut if not traded.

I don't like cutdown day. It kind of makes me sad to see all these kids who work so hard to get a roster spot not make it. Josh Doctson was cut. Would he help our receiving corps?

Perhaps there are players that fit our schemes better than where they came from.

It's excruciating if you really think about it; so tantalizingly close, but maybe never to be, and maybe never having even been possible. You might just be a last-cut level player, you just don't know it yet....

Mind you we’ve largely gone with 3 QB’s every year when all the #3’s couldn’t play dead...SMH

I'm glad we save the extra roster spot. Hopefully we can get some mire picks.

NE on line 1.

Pitt on line 2.

Fat Andy on line 3.

Ratface from N.O. on line 4

IF this true, we all know how it will turn out...

I'm convinced Sloter banged Zim's daughter or something. This is ridiculous

Destroy his trade value by disparaging him in the media and now by saying he'll be cut if not traded...brilliant!

I was hoping against hope Zimmer would announce that Sloter passed his trial by fire and clearly earned the #2 job and Mannion would be offered a coaching position, trade or release. Why can't we have nice things?

Unless Sloter was coming to meetings/practices drunk, hung over or sleeping, this makes zero sense. Very Childress and "programmatic non-fit" bullshit.

If it is true, why would we cut Sloter and keep a stiff like Mannion? What are the coaches seeing that we are not? Does he have a meth problem or something? Because he's answered the bell every time he's been sent out for reps.

Yep. I bet Ken Stabler was a shit practice player, but he beat us in a Super Bowl. I don't get it. Don't you want your backup qb to play a little different than your starter? It keeps the opposing defense on their heels.

Josh Doctson's career stats:

2018 44 catches 532 yards 32 Long 2 TDs

2017 35 catches 502 yards. 52 Long 6 TDs

2016 2 catches 66 yards 57 Long 0 TDs

Total 81 catches 1,100 Yds 57 Long 8 TDs

Laquon Treadwell's career stats:

2018 35 catches 302 yards 22 Long 1 TD

2017 20 catches 200 yards 25 Long 0 TDs

2016 1 catch 15 yards 15 Long 0 TDs

Total 56 catches 517 Yds 25 Long 1 TD

While Doctson didn't set the world on fire, I think he was far more effective than Treadwell. I wouldn't mind if they brought him in. He's 6-2 and still only 26 years old.

Maybe a new scheme will fit him better.

Exactly, what counts the most is what he does in the games and Sloter always answered the bell.

I liked him coming out of college. But, I liked treadwell too, so, what does that say about me? I think Doctson would round out the receiving group very well. I really don't like Beebe much at all.

I'm just convinced more than ever that this organization is not very smart. If this happens I'll be in awe by the sheer ineptitude and stupidity.

Zimmer is a cancer to me. His act has worn out on me.

He obviously has some grudge against Sloter, and will defy anyone who challenges his decisions. I don't believe It's possible everyone in the organization agreed with this.

I wonder what Spielman, Stefanski, and Kubiak think of this?

It has to be something more than practice...

I'll wait for the official news on this. Even I am in complete disbelief that these guys could be that dumb!
