why would a team throw away a very promising young quarterback in today's nfl - it's shocking....

Josh Doctson's career stats:

2018 44 catches 532 yards 32 Long 2 TDs

2017 35 catches 502 yards. 52 Long 6 TDs

2016 2 catches 66 yards 57 Long 0 TDs

Total 81 catches 11,000 Yds 57 Long 8 TDs

Laquon Treadwell's career stats:

2018 35 catches 302 yards 22 Long 1 TD

2017 20 catches 200 yards 25 Long 0 TDs

2016 1 catch 15 yards 15 Long 0 TDs

Total 56 catches 517 Yds 25 Long 1 TD

While Doctson didn't set the world on fire, I think he was far more effective than Treadwell. I wouldn't mind if they brought him in. He's 6-2 and still only 26 years old.

Maybe a new scheme will fit him better.

I liked him coming out of college. But, I liked treadwell too, so, what does that say about me? I think Doctson would round out the receiving group very well. I really don't like Beebe much at all.

I liked him too, and wanted him before Treadwell, but Washington grabbed him just before we were on the clock.

And like you, I definitely would take him over Beebe.

This is awesome. Good for Ifeadi Odenigbo, who posts on his IG that he’s been informed he’s making the 53 man roster on his third attempt in Minnesota. https://t.co/1zm7YG78Fr

This one surprises me. Per Luke Braun

You all wanted me dead and gone. But We working to do the opposite. 2019 underway. Let’s get to it.

If true, it defies logic.

These stupid decisions and dumb GM/coaching moves is why this team's talent is being wasted...

I wont believe the Sloter reports, I've been a Sloter guy since the Broncos 2017 preseason.
I saw that the Patriots are releasing their veteran backup Brian Hoyer and going with their 4th round rookie Stidham who had a great preseason like Sloter

Some of you will be happy. I'm wondering why so many DT's.

Great for him. He's looked very good in preseason. Third time is the charm for him.

I don't know why exactly, but this Sloter craziness really riles me up to a personal level. I hope that the report is false, but it lines up perfectly with Zim's "my guy" bullshit and with his inability to trust in younger players. The fact that Mannion is "experienced" in Zim's mind is just wacky idiocy.

If true, then I'm done with Zimmer. I've been souring on him as a head coach (still like him as DC) for a while now but this breaks the camel's back. Cutting him just reeks of old school buffoonery. It's clear that Sloter is by far a better athlete and passer then Mannion and has done nothing but move the chains and score points in the pre-season while Mannion has been pedestrian at best (boy can he line up the team and hand off though, woot woot!). The fact that Kyle couldn't get a look with 2s at all this pre-season is pure jackassery.

Whatever happens, SKOL vikes in spite of our leadership...

It's all rotational stuff. Keeping the guys in the middle fresh and ready to go. It's excessive to me, but it appears to be the Zim way.

I wanted this guy early, but nothing happened for him. Per Chris Tomasson

#Vikings have released WR Davion Davis.

Zim doesn’t like cowboys. It’s why he had no interest in bringing back Case either.

He likes guys like Mannion that will follow everything to the letter - even if results in losses.

Total control freak.

Jackassery. That's the perfect word for this situation. Sloter would be a great #2, and some other stiff could hold the clipboard at the #3 spot. I just don't get it.

If I were the Wilf's I might step in and say we keep Sloter.

Reason being if Zim/Spiels get their walking papers at the end of the season perhaps the next HC might take a shine to Sloter as we all have.

For now, but maybe not long. Per Cronin

Source tells me TE Brandon “the Marian Flash” Dillon has been informed that he has made the Vikings 53 man roster. So Minnesota will go with 4 TEs between Rudolph, Smith, Conklin and Dillon.

Cowboys are awesome. That's how the West was won. Why not take a chance on a guy who wings it and disrupts shit? Zim is totally off base on this one.

If Cousins were to go down it won't take long before the fans get their fill of Mannion as the losses pile up.

Zim could get rode out of town for dumping Sloter.

So were keeping 5 DT's and 4 DE's. What about Watts?
