Listened to Russo ask the question about the regulars not playing enough in the last 10 minutes last night. Shut the f*** up you little weasel.

Good
Thought I was the only one pissed at him lately
Russo actually thinks the usual suspects weren't playing ENOUGH
What the hell
He's been on this kick lately, like if you were good once, then everyone should just accept that you will suck.
Biggest defender of the country clubbers
He'll rip on the Greenway and Donato and Fiala types all day, won't say boo about the Parise-Koivu-Dubnyk mistakes.

Boudreau was given a goalie

And he rode that goalie

Right out the door.

Interesting …. Bruce saying "if I would have been given a goalie, things would have been different"
Well
Kinda true
But when you got to choose between two you didn't like … you STILL chose the WRONG one most nights, pal.

Whoa!

Guessing Dubes and Alex didn't love hearing that one.

Ignored the hotter hand and went with the Flop Dribbler, that'll get ya fired.

Shoot, Kaakanan or whatever his name is along with Stalock would have at least showed he was trying to shore up a weakness; nope!

Bye! Thanks for your efforts.

I was done with Russo a long time ago. There was a time when I thought he was the gold standard for team beat reporters in the Twin Cities media. Over the years, he turned into a butt snorkling little turd, who parrots the company line and incessantly sucks up to the alleged "leaders" on the team.

Here is a look around the League at the latest deadline doings:

Minnesota Wild
Wild defensemen Matt Dumba and Jonas Brodin have been attracting attention from other teams around the League, according to The Athletic.
Brodin who has 24 points this season (two goals, 22 assists), has one more season remaining on his contract; Dumba, who has 20 points (four goals, 16 assists), has three more seasons after this one remaining on his contract.
Minnesota likely would seek a center in return; Eric Staal is their only center with more than 30 points this season (41).
Although the Wild (27-23-7) are three points behind the Arizona Coyotes for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference, they fired coach Bruce Boudreau on Friday. If they fall further out of the race, more changes could be coming.
"There has to be accountability, and people are going to be held accountable," Minnesota general manager Bill Guerin said.

In turning over the Wild to interim coach Dean Evason, general manager Bill Guerin said the team needs to hear a different voice in charge: "If players are hurt by this, then maybe they're players we shouldn't have here. This is the business."

It seemed to me like the Wild were playing well. I know this board doesn't like him ever playing Koivu or Dubnyk, but I think his firing will prove to be a bad call by Guerin.

No way. We've proven that BB was a good coach when he was given once in a lifetime talents or 5 of the top 20 players in the league. When he didn't have that he wasn't even average. I could have coached OV8 and those Ducks teams.

Guerin clearly didn't like things he saw despite recent wins. Like blowing 2 goal leads in the last 10 minutes, 3 times recently. You can't have let downs like that when you are fighting for the last playoff spot.

While I like it, it still absolves the ones who are fault (9, 11, Dub…ect). Get rid of them and I'll be impressed with Billy.

This isn't a "this year" problem. I get it, he's inherited one of the worst situations in the game. He's just done the 'easy' so far. Do the tough.

If Zucker keeps playing on a line with Crosby he should be on the score sheet every game. Somehow I have a feeling his disappearing act won't sit well with Sid and he will let Zucker now it.....time will tell.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Until he finds a way to rid us of 9, 11, and 20 the bad locker room will continue and they will continue to stunt the growth of good young hockey players.

Well, a new coach didn't help any against a Sharks team that played the night before in Winnipeg. Who's next to go?

As stated, dumping BB was a mistake.

We're 0 for our last 5 against the Sharks, but yeah, it's because we fired Boudreau.

So, you know that after one game?

The Wild were up against the most dreaded foe of all - a goalie who hadn't won a game in two months.

You knew going in that there was no way we were going to win that game.

Our teams do have a way of lifting up opponents that could use a boost don't they.....
As Lynn reminds us, such is the life of a Minnesota sports fan.

Ov8 is 2 away from 700 and I'm a sick jackass so I had to know. Our entire franchise has been around for 3 more seasons than him and it takes our top 4 goal producers of ALL TIME to beat him and it would be by a whopping 6…..

Our highest is Marion with 219…..219 vs 700 (and it will be counting…). 219….2-one-niner drill sergeant….dos, cinco, niner...

No I don't know. I'm totally guessing to be honest. But it just has a vibe that it was the wrong thing to do.

I can't even count the different number of ways you are comparing apples to oranges here.
