cousins has no guts....
cousins has no inherent leadership capacity....
cousins has no natural football instincts....

kyle sloter seemed to show these characteristics, but he couldn't play practice ball so we let him go....

mike zimmer is not a general, he's not a colonel - he's a major....

mike zimmer - it's time to let him go....

How pathetic was that? I had told people before the game that all that mattered was that I was going to get to wake up to playoff football this year. But **** that. We are destined to lose our last 3 and make no noise so who cares. I'm tapping out on the year. Maybe the team. Probably just reactionary to that disgusting display but thats how I'm feeling. I was a fool to believe in this team. I bristled against the anti Zimmer talk but I was wrong...he has to go. I was wrong about Cousins too...man he is gutless. And whoever said Boone was just limke our other 2 runners is blind..seems our coaches thought so so they're worse. Fragile ass Cook screwed us . The play calling was embarrassing.

I don't know how you guys have done this for so long. I'm 25 years in and I think I've had enough. This is what they do every year...some more tragic than others but the results are always the same. They fall short. They let us down...life is too short to embrace this entity of disappointment . I use to think it was about the journey but the journey is supposed to take you somewhere. The Vikings take you on the same trip around the block each year...and that trip isn't even a simple one...we get into fender benders and get a ticket for wreck less driving. Seems insane to get back in the car for another trip.

I had hope that Zimmer might be like Tom Coughlin and lead us to something when all hope seemed lost. I guess hope is all it is. 7 first downs with an 84 million dollar QB? How disgusting! Meanwhile all of our corners are regressing. Brad Childress part 2.

Fewest first downs we've had at home since 1971! I hope they're proud of themselves. As much as I think Speilman has brought in talent it's time for him to go. Allowing Sloter to leave town and bringing back Treadwell is unacceptable.

I predict Zimmer, Spielman and Cousins will get one more year then the purge will begin
Zimmer and Cousins on last year of contracts
The Wilfs will come to grips with the fact that Spielman can’t build a championship caliber team
How many playoff wins during his tenure?
The defense is aging and now can’t even play the run. Packer defense looked young, explosive and fast
Spielman still has no clue what he’s doing with online
Bradbury is a massive bust. He sucks
Please don’t sign Cook to a long term deal. He will NEVER stay healthy
I said Cousins was a good, not great QB (but a bad spend of money) and people were flashing up QB rating stuff
How many times do you need to see the guy whip up on bad teams yet look like Ponder vs good teams to realize who he is
Cousins is who we thought he is

Well said.

I'm about ready to tap out as well. A professional team should not look so unprepared and disinterested as the offense did.

A starting NFL qb should not look scared from the very first snap of the game.

I will give credit to the defense. Had these players not shown up we would have been blown out.

3 turnovers and short fields the offense squandered. Looked like Stefanski /Kubiak took the week off and scratched a game plan together 5 minutes before KO with blood shot eyes. They should be emberrassed.

Remember we will have a healthy Cook and Mattison for the playoffs....Boone was our third string RB. You play right into GB hands as they are great against the pass but not the run. I really wish they tried more Abdullah earlier as he was more of a pass catcher but nevertheless....our team is built off of those two.

WHERE IS THIELEN? HE IS LIKE WALDO.

I think this team simply doesn't have what it takes in big games. It starts at the top.

Zim simply has plateaued and his teams come out small in big games. Look unprepared as well.

Leadership appears to be lacking in this locker room. A scared qb isn't going to lead a team anywhere either.

Honestly, don’t really know what people see in this defense
Don’t forget Green Bay was awful in the first half. Rodgers missing wide open WRs, Adams dropping an easy TD
Our run D has gotten real bad; real fast
The Harris INT was the one sweet play by the D
Even Hunter seems really good in Q1 then just kind of goes away.
Smith from GB was a monster all game. Motor never stopped
With all the draft capital spent by us you would think Spielman could at least luck into one player like that

I’d keep Kendrick’s; Hunter; Harris and Waynes and start over on D. Weatherly is a nice situational player
Rhodes and Hughes are major liabilities

The Defense? They were ball hawking the whole first half, didn't get any rest, and ended up worn down with Kendricks out the 2nd half.

Nothing wrong with the Defense in the game last night. Jones 2 TD runs can be attributed to the offense doing nothing.

Our return game is a real joke too. Hughes plays punt returner like the kids at my local high school games. Its embarrassing. The players and the coach seem to get really tight and small in big games. I would guess the leadership stinks on this team. I think Charles Barkley said great coaches don't give you confidence, they simply don't destroy it. I think that might be what's going on here.

Yesterday was the game to pull the 80s style of offense out....swing passes to Abdullah, short passes to Ham/TE, quick passes and maybe even 4 wide----not run up the gut with a 3rd string RB. They were able to do that against a worn out SD Def in the 2nd half.

They have a really good pair of TEs, and a Possession WR THielen that they didn't use.

Looked like I saw Theilen wide open early in the second half and Cousins dumped it to Ham for 8 yards. I'd like to the the all 22 on that play. This game reminded me of last years Patriots game and the last 2 Bears games.

The defense is mediocre. Look at the totality of the season. Career games to Matt Moore and Chase Daniels
Did you watch them get abused by Sea a couple weeks ago?
They have how many 1st and 2nd round picks? How much money did they give Barr?
They have a supposed “defensive masterminds” as HC
They are always very exploitable on the road with no pass rush or coverage
They are probably average, which is fine if you like mediocrity, problem is so much investment has been put on that side of the ball, mediocrity is not acceptable
Watch the 1st Hal again. They weren’t that good. Green Bay was dropping passes and Rodgers had open guys, but was off
FWIW Rodgers did not look great last nite either.

No chance these guys get on a roll like the 87 team. Vikings football was so much more fun to watch back then. All the way up to the end of the Moss days. These last 14 years or so have been a grind.

I could see the Wilfs keeping Speilman and then:

Promoting Kubiak to HC and bringing in Rivera for DC (if he doesn't get a HC job).

This is if we get blown out in playoffs.

Mark it down. Will beat a lousy Chi team next week and everyone will get excited, say the team is back, etc
They will go to No and get the living piss smacked out of them
Maybe it will be embarrassing enough the wilfs will say eff it. We’re done with this regime

GB defense has been mediocre to bad most of the season.

Why has Cousins looked so scared of them in both games this season?

I'm not doubting that was the game plan, but the OLine made it impossible to have any kind of successful game plan.

The Favre year was great you're right! It took a qb with some balls to bring some fun back to this organization. It's too bad Cousins doesn't say eff it and start audibling out of some of this stupidity. Brad Childress part 2 isn't a whole lot of fun.
