Sano was out for over a month with a cut on his ankle. Yikes.

And he was like 800 pounds at the time...

No, that happened after his commitment to conditioning. The problem, as is often the case, was with the Twins training staff, who botched the handling of his cut to the point that he had to go to the Mayo and have a bunch of dead tissue removed and the heel re sutured.

Good point

However, Rocco hasn't been laid up for a month now ……

The guy who used that stuff in Major League was named Cerrano. Practically Sano.

The report is that Mackenzie Alexander had successful knee surgery and might be available if we make it to the Super Bowl.

It seems that Kearse will be out for Saturday's game. Thielen is questionable. I still think he will play, but I'm not as sure as I was this morning.

Diggs is back for today's practice.

So what does this mean. The 49ers give up massive pressure when they can’t run the ball well enough to fool people with play action. Sound familiar? The Vikings already know how to stop this offense because they play against every day in practice.

But like most offense theirs a wrinkle. Their yac yardage is off the charts so tackling is soo important. If the Vikings can tackle the 49ers offense will fizzle and also will turn the ball over.

An unstoppable force meets an immovable object:

George Kittle leads all TEs with missed tackles forced
Deebo Samuel ranks top-three in YAC & missed tackles forced for WRs

The Minnesota #VIkings are the highest graded tackling team in the NFL for the second straight year

Stefanski is probably interviewing right now for the Cleveland coaching position.

I have no clue as to why Stefanski is considered head coaching material. IMO he has shared OC duties with a grizzled vet in Kubiak for one season with mixed results.

How do you cut your ankle? Guessing a DB stepped on his ankle or raked it. Anyone who's had stitches knows there is obvious discomfort and swelling, especially close to the lower extremities. Luckily he has 3 days, but not the news we want to hear.

Maybe they think he looks decent and love the fact that he's been learning from Kubiak and others.

Would Kubiak take OC job next year if it was open ?

Maybe give it to his son, the QB coach ?

I believe it was his heel...

They never said it straight out, I don't think, but I believe it must've gotten infected. It wasn't taken care of properly.

imo stefanski makes a lot of mistakes in his offensive play calling...if we lost him, i would not consider that a big problem....

What a good article written up by Rudolph.

The guy has been such a good player/teammate/man the downright disrespect he's received from some fans is quite frankly embarrassing. Just because he wasn't as good as some of the most elite TE's in the game. Some of you squawked loudly and often too. SMH.
