ORIGINAL: jbusse Elflein will still be on his rookie contract next year. I doubt they cut him. The interior guys can block downfield, but good luck running between the tackles, and they don't pass block well enough against the better DTs when Kirk stays in the pocket. Seems like a fatal flaw of this offense. With this offense, either need a mobile QB or an interior OL that can pass block a lot better. The fact that Bradbury and Elflein can block downfield was useless today. In this day and age it seems painfully obvious that you need a qb that can move a little. I hope like hell we draft someone in the first couple rounds. Agreed Cousins is such a statue We all agree the oline stinks, but not sure why we think Spielman can correct it He signed Reiff, he drafted Elflein, he drafted Bradbury. He has 0 idea what he is doing Could it be that we have no idea how to develop oline as well? Probably some of both. With Elflein, his athleticism coming out was known to be poor. Pretty much the opposite of what this regime has looked for in defensive linemen. https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/pat-elflein/
