Signing Laquon per Courtney Cronin.

Tim Crabtree is available. I'd rather have that over the hill motherfucker.

Can Laquon play ST? That is the only reason I would sign him instead of A Robinson or Mike Crabtree.

I think Kirk is going to have a great year. Why you ask? New system with Stepanski and 2 Super Bowl Coaches in Kubiak and Dennison that is helping make Cook a star(with better health to start) plus they have an improved oline and a nice fast, athletic 2nd TE and a very athletic 2nd and 3rd RB to boot. Now if Beebe, Johnson, and later in the year Doctson can provide just a little (500 yards and a few scores) it will be tough to stop this offense.

Now many are still calling for Case but they forget about Shurmur.....Shurmur play calling made Case...not the other way around.

Shurmur masked Case's faults and our oline, rb (after the cook injury), and lack of talent on the Oline. Everyone talks about that 2017 team but they forget the man that made it happen on offense.....it was Shurmur. He was masterful in his game plans.

If you look back at one of the main reasons for not giving Case a big contract was that Shurmur was leaving for NY.

Ragnarök just seems like "many"...

Aldrick probably has too much "cowboy" in him for Zimmer.

Dude is very effective at what he does, but definitely does not run precise routes (or necessarily end up where he's supposed to be...)

With regard to the injury of Beebe, this is why you don't make him your holder for the kicker. (repeating what I heard on KFAN)

It's just common sense to not use a skill position guy as a holder.

It's even more common sense not to use an injury prone one...

Beebe may (or may not) have more potential as a receiver, but Treadwell is a better football player at this point. He's a core special teamer and a very good blocker (Beebe has had a few good blocks that I've noticed, though). The fact that Treadwell is the best we could do as a receiver is disappointing, though; it's hard to see him becoming reliable.

Beebe cannot be our PR going forward, though. I think we can all agree on that.

I doubt Treadwell plays many snaps on offense unless someone else gets hurt. Seems like a cheap depth signing of a guy familiar with the team.

I'm hoping it means Smith will get a lot more offensive snaps.

Game 1: Rudy 100%, Smith 48%
Game 2: Rudy 100%, Smith 42%
Game 3: Rudy 87%, Smith 49%

We are already paying his salary so he is a cheap depth option. Expect the Vikings to run the ball with multiple tight end formations Sunday.

Treadwell obviously has a familiarity with the team and the playbook, so there won’t be the typical learning curve that another free agent would have had. The Vikings were already on the hook for the guaranteed portion of his salary since he hadn’t signed with another team yet. Expecting Treadwell to make any meaningful offensive contributions may be a bit of a stretch, but he was performing well on special teams in Training Camp and the preseason.

It sounds like Treadwell will dress for Sunday’s game in his hometown of Chicago against the Bears. We’ll see whether he can make any kind of impact in his second go round in purple.

Good depth / ST situation for the team and player.

The pain of a #1 dud and his dead money were over when we released him and moved on, even if his money is on the books.

We'll see what happens to the #4 spot if Doctoson ever makes it back.

Irv Smith should get more targets than the #4 WR anyway.

Treadwell replaces Beebe, the most disappointing player so far this season. (Beebe ironically replacing the most disappointing player from the previous 3? seasons)

Are a lot of the rushing yards for the Ravens from their quarterback? I looked at their schedule and they had to cream puff opponents.

Maybe it's the option to run. I guess teams are reluctant to risk the health of their QB.

Bisi should be playing over Dreadwell, and Beebe prior to injury.

He simply showed more on his PS chances.

Ingram, Gus Edwards, and Lamar....Lamar will probably get 1000 yards rushing this year.

The Vikings are not an easy team to matchup with- even for the Bears. Expect a very physical game Sunday.

I just saw a tweet saying Sherels is back, but I'm looking for confirmation.
