At least we have Smith and Hughes to replace the negatives. Signing Waynes is the wild card.

Spiels should scour rosters for a team with CB need that has ability to trade some quality OL player. Rhodes value is plummeting week by week...

extending rudolph is possibly the worst move that spielman could have made at this particular time, and we'll be suffering because of it big time next year....

I don't think anyone here was happy with that move except the Last Word Troll. Rudolph is on pace for <20 catches and <120 yds. for the season. He might end up useful at some point in the red zone, but so far he has zero touchdowns. We'd be better off playing Udoh as an extra lineman rather than having Rudy in the game.

Brian O’Neill as tackle eligible (with an extra lineman in the game) wouldn't be any less effective than Rudolph.

If they're not going to get Irv Smith more involved, at least bring in someone who can block effectively instead of Rudolph, who has been as useless as tits on a boar hog so far this year.

There is a lot of parity in the NFL. Good teams are getting upset. Every player has strength and weaknesses. Those weakness come forward in a loss. Cousins has a lot of weaknesses, but some significant strengths too. He plays within himself and does not gamble a lot. You have to play to win and not to play not to lose.

I could tell the game was pretty much in the bag in the first quarter, so I fell asleep, woke up, checked the score and saw it was indeed in the bag and went outside to enjoy a primo day.

Winning the games they should win is a good thing. Now we'll see if they can build on it. Beating the Eagles might be doable. They aren't in Super Bowl form anymore. Then again, they also have a winning record. Could go either way, but we got them at home.

Not sure why the bandwagon comment on your own fan base?

I was speaking of owner and fan base being vocal of officials calls... Not sure our owner and fan base would ever get the same platform as America's team...

2 cents:

First Road win.

Hughes looks good. What a draft, Hughes & ONeil. Get Mac back and we can rotate a lot more. Rhodes, is he better than he's playing? IDK.

Cousins throwing some dimes. The scrutiny is fierce around here!

Thielan & Diggs just need chances.

Cook - what can be said? STUD.

Love an aggressive defense. I'd rather get burned being aggressive than bleed a slow death. Zimmer said in his presser that he needs to be more aggressive in his play calls. DAMN STRAIGHT!

FFS stop calling screens for Kyle instead of Irv. Where's KGB? Colossal mistake extending him. Shoulda just let him play his contract out. Why the rush???? Could have used tags if needed.

Hunter had a "quiet game" with two sacks while being double teamed/chipped a lot. Obi Wan makes me very excited. Griff back to a better version

Kline is an Underrated signing. Man he stabilizes the right side. Next yr we gotta move on from Reif (Oneil to the left side and give Udoh some play). Nervous about Bradbury. Elf needs to be replaced asap.

Take care of business at home.

I would guess they'll cut him before next season and eat the $5.8 million dead cap hit. Basically moved a bunch of money from this year's cap to next year's.

Right now, the Pukes win in Dallas is the difference in this division. The Bears have been favored in all 5 games in a really easy early schedule, their 2 losses effectively put them 2 games back.

We played well but lets not get ahead of ourselves. We've beaten 3 pretty blah teams and lost to 2 good ones. Next week is big. Saw good stuff today on O but they had key guys missing. Certainly not taking away from the win, it's the most important. Especially on the road. Just want constant improvement.

And, once again, Barr shows why Zimmer's defensive game plans drive people insane. When Barr is used aggressively he is a very disruptive player.

Nice to get back on the winning track.
Cousins probably had his best game since the middle of last season.
Dalvin Cook just gets more and more lethal. His pass catching prowess was on full display today.
Defense continues to be very stingy with points allowed.
Felt good!

And as an aside...I hate the Saints, but god damn, I can't help but feel good our old pal Teddy.
He put together his most complete game thus far today and he's undefeated since he took over.
Pretty damn impressive comeback story brewing down in the bayou.
How can you not feel good for the kid?

Love the guy. Hate the frickin Aints.

I remember the day he got injured. Literally felt like getting kicked in the gut.

All good stuff.

As far as Cousin's success goes, I feel it has a lot to do with Zimmer and the forced run game plan. He shut things down last year and early this year and I think that affected Kirk and the WR's. You can't be as run dominant as he wants and be successful. Balance is required and we saw a better game plan today and it worked. Cook and our line can be stopped if a D only has to focus on that. I hope Zimmer has learned that lesson.
