Looking at the 49ers game. We got destroyed because we couldn't stop the run and couldn't run the ball.

Did we get any closer with this draft?

Good question. On D, is Lynch an upgrade over Stephen and Watts at DT, and on O can Cleveland play right away at G or LT?

Lynch could be an upgrade. Time will tell. Holmes and Johnson IMO had their chance and I'd like to bring in some fresh blood.

I could have put Elflein in that rotation above, but I don't think he beats out competition at G, honestly. I really liked him coming out of Ohio State w/ his wrestling background (not to mention Zim's affinity for it), but he has really disappointed.

What competition?

Dakota Dozier
Aviente Collins

#Vikings traded one sixth-round pick (No. 201) and a seventh-round pick (No. 219) to the Ravens for No. 225 and a 2021 5th.

Trading that pick to the Ravens was it and watching them draft Proche was like a kick in the balls.

Vikes now with 2 extra picks in the 4th, an extra 5th, and 3 extra compensatory picks (projected) in the 2021 draft. Rick is going to try to break his own record for draft picks again next year.

So we trade 201 and 219 for 225?????????
But we also get a 2021 5th. IMO horrible value, but we must not see anybody else capable of making our team.

It's borderline intolerable

Why not pick some good players instead of trying to be some wizard

At least he's trading picks for next years draft. Which I hope he's not in charge of.

Not a lot of meat on the bone since the mid 5th round and/or scouting not as deep as usual. I like the moves for 2021 draft capital a lot. Rick basically taking stuff for free.

For goodness sakes:

Blake Brandel
Overview
"Likely tackle-to-guard position switch due to his lack of length and consistency in pass protection. Brandel is a durable blocker who lacks guard mass, but he works on the nuances of his position, which helps his cause. He understands angles and techniques but is an average athlete with below-average core power and play strength. He gives too much ground to bull-rushers, which is a concern no matter which position he plays up front. He doesn't figure to be a plus run blocker in any scheme. A spot on a practice squad should be his goal for 2020."

Blake Brandel OL, OREGST
Height: 6-7, Weight: 307

Was not really on the draft radar. Movement skills would be his biggest plus but balance is lacking, as is a road-grading, mean streak. This is a scheme-fit pick for Kevin Stefanski's zone-blocking scheme. (Chris Trapasso)
