No way do I trade up in this draft. Guys are going to be coming off the board in the to 20 no one expected. I mean it happens already but this year there could be a lot.

Sitting pretty with our 2 picks we could land premier talent.

Agreed, not sure the tackles in the 15-20 area are going to be much better then we’re at.

They keep saying WR is 25ish deep? Hell we may be better drafting WR late due to our history anyway.

Would love a big/ athletic LT, and a explosive WR at those two picks myself.

Even though we’ve opened up a lot of holes through FA departure, I’m not sure how far down the road we can continue kicking the can on OLine studs?

Bradbury was an investment, I’d like to solidify our Tackle spots for years to come.

Perhaps a guard in the middle rounds as well. Even a highly rated center that can move over.

The #Vikings have interviewed former Minnesota WR Tyler Johnson.

Per
@DWolfsonKSTP
They’ve done their homework on the in state prospect and he could be an early day 3 option for them.

He should be a day 2 option at 105 I would have zero problem drafting him.

Exactly, Todd...not a chance I would move up

stand pat is fine, a slight move back could lead to some artful drafting, which I think RS loves to do...

If I had to bet, I think I'd bet on a trade back with the 2nd of the first rd picks

Hopefully stay in 1st Round so you get the 5 year contract.

The "artful" trader Rick will want to trade 25 back into the 2nd plus a couple mid rounders (4th or 5th), then package one mid rounder to move back into 1st and get a guy we would have taken at 25 anyway if we couldn't have done the trade and come away with an extra mid round pick or a vet cb or something

I love that kind of stuff

I see the Pukers as being a good trade Partner for us. 25 & 132 for 30 & 62. They will want to move up for Mims who most likely won't be available at 30. We will be happy to get the extra 2nd rounder.

The 25th WR in this draft will not be a difference maker. We need to get at least one of the top 10. Mims could possibly be Julio Jones 2.0.

Ben Goesling participated in a mock today and picked for the Vikings. He took Josh Jones with the pick at 22. Click the link to find out who he took at 25.

It is a very logical and possible scenario for Vikings . I could see myself being disappointed that there wasn't more razzle dazzle, but those would be two solid picks for the Vikings.

I have been completely torn on the WRs in this draft, but after going somewhat in depth my rankings are

#1 Jeudy
#2 Lamb

#3 Ruggs
#4 Mims

# 5 Jefferson, but #6 for the Vikings due to his being a slot receiver making him and Thielen not coexist too well.
#6 Reagor #5 for the Vikings
#7 Aiyuk
#8 Pittman
#9 Claypool
#10 Shenault

I'm really hoping we get one of the top 7 and add Tyler Johnson Later. I don't think we can get one of those at pick 58 and pick 25 is too early for Jefferson, Reagor, and Aiyuk IMO. So a trade back or trade up may need to happen.

No love for Bryan Edwards? I have a hunch- just a hunch that he is the guy we select in the second round. NFL..com has him rated higher than Mims and his stats are deceiving because he missed two games due to an injury. He held his own against good competition, including the Florida CB, Henderson.

I feel like Jones would be a reach at that point and kind of a wasted pick...He just might be great down the road, so I can get on board with it, but it feels too reachy

I would be surprised that DE Epenesa from Iowa is still on the board here, but he is in this draft, and we would take him in a second.

I would bet he is considerably higher on our draft board than Jones, too

Gladney would be fine, I guess...I think the kid is a baller with speed and quickness, and that may be more important than size...and it isn't like he is 5-8...

IMO, 5-11 is reasonable size; everyone acts like 6-0 is a "big" corner to take on tall WR's, but they act like 5-11 is Spud Webb to Kareem?

Sometimes people get so caught up with size, they forget that playing football well trumps size most of the time, ask Antoine Sr

Plenty of Love for Bryan Edwards. I consider him a third round pick most likely. I stopped at 10. If I had continued it probably would have been Hamler 11 and Edwards 12.

Are you talking about the mock draft that Goesling did. You think Jones is a reach at 22? I don't think Jones is a reach for the Vikings unless we trade up from 22. I like Gladney. I like Terrell better.

Multiple players had drug tests flagged at the NFL Combine & among those is projected top 10 pick #Louisville OT Mekhi Becton, I’m told. Teams were made aware of this. Becton had no failed drug tests in college. Per new CBA rules, he goes into Stage 1 for no more than 60 days.

nice list, kg

I am torn on how I would rank players...

I know the idea that not taking Jefferson because he is used as a slot guy, but he was super productive and at 6-3. good hands and routes, I can't see him disappointing as an outside guy...actually seems more versatile than Mims...

Mims concerns me because of the potential route running problem Baylor WR's seem to have...not sure if it is fair to lump him in with them, but I have seen him ranked all over the place...Lindy's has him as the 19th best WR...which I don't really see either, but that is certainly a question

The more discussion there has been about not taking a slot guy because we want more 2 TE sets and so forth is interesting...I was thinking a quick, slot guy that can house a 3-yard slant would compliment Thielen and Sharpe...but maybe that isn't what we are looking for...or maybe that is all smoke...

If we are looking at a Run heavy offense, then Edwards really might make great sense, as he is a good blocker, but is he Treadwell II? Less of a problem if we take him in the 2nd than first, but I want a speedy and dynamic player if we take a WR high, not sure if he is that...

I love Aiyuk, a little cool on Reagor...I don't buy Shenault as a pro...he was gimmicky, but always came through for the Buffs

Pittman and Claypool would be OK in rd 2

If we take WR in rd 1, I am leaning more to Jefferson over Mims (assuming the top 3 are gone), a small trade down from 25 would be great!

I always cringe at taking a player in "the program", but holy shit if he falls to 22 because of that...would have to take him, right? I bet he still doesn't fall that far

yeah, was responding to the Goesling picks...maybe Jones is legit at 22...did someone post something about possibly 7 OT's drafted in the first rd? then he would be one of them

Haven't been in here in awhile. It's almost draft time.

We had better address the offensive line, or our statue under center is going to fumble a lot again this season.

That, and we no longer have a #1 wide receiver or any corners.

We've got issues!

Yeah I've heard Gladney being described as a "junk yard dog"

Rhodes was a good football player. He had a tough year last season but he has been a pretty darned good corner for a number of years. Trae Waynes was never any good (S-A-W-F-T). Alexander was an improving player.
