OKC really got lucky here. Paul had a good year which drove up his stock but somewhat of an outlier health wise.

Its a lot. But if its a major factor in keeping Giannis, its worth it.

Bucks are also are getting Bogdan Bogdanovich in a sign and trade for Donte Divincenzo, Ersan Ilyasova and DJ Wilson.

I like this move...surprised Utah is done with him. Wrong brother but still surprised Sac didn't get more.

Always liked Jrue. Good 2 way player.

Big upgrade over Bledsoe but losing G Hill is going to be tough. he's a good backup PG.

3 number 1s is a lot but provided they sign Giannis those will all be low 1st rd picks.

He's a FA. They were lucky to get as much as they did in a sign and trade.

Probably puts them above Boston. Boston has a lot of ammunition to get better also.

A Kyrie/Harden/Durant trio should be good for NY Post headlines but don't know how Nash can keep them all happy.

That team is likely going to crash and burn.

No one knows how Durant is going to be coming off missing over a year from an injury that not everyone can come back from.

Kyrie is a headcase that is capable of tanking a team on his own.

And both of them are going to demand that their good buddy Jordan plays a lot - which means less minutes for Jarrett Allen - who is already a better player and still improving.

As part of the trade for Holiday, Milwaukee is sending New Orleans a package that includes Eric Bledsoe, George Hill and three first-round picks (a 2020 first from Indiana and unprotected firsts in 2025 and 2027), sources said.

The trade also includes a pair of first-round pick swaps (in 2024 and 2026) and will ultimately amount to something similar to what the Pelicans received from the Lakers last season in the deal that sent Anthony Davis to Los Angeles.

In addition, the Pelicans will return the 60th pick in the 2020 draft to Milwaukee. The pick was acquired in 2019 for Nikola Mirotic. And, to make the trade work, Cleveland has removed the pick protection for the 2022 first that Milwaukee owes it. The Cavaliers will also receive a future second-round pick from the Bucks.

Lakers trade Green and #28 for Schroeder. Thoughts?

Not sure.

Never been a Schröder fan. Doesn't play much defense, is just an OK passer and turns it over too much, and has always been a poor shooter that gets his points by taking a ton of shots.

But somehow he shot WAY over his head last year. 47% overall and 39% from 3 on 5/game. That's nuts for a guy who was a career 43/32 shooter and only hit better than 34% of his 3s one time previously (all way back in 2014).

If the shooting is real and not an outlier, he could help. But if he regresses to a guy who scores 13 points on 12 FGAs, he won't help at all.

That said, Danny Green looked surprisingly cooked last year.

Thanks for the rundown. I read about his shooting % spike.

Danny Green, all he does is win championships even when he plays like he's 40 years old.

Worst case is the Lakers sold low on Green and bought high on Schröder, but at least he's expiring.

This is a home run for Lakers. Green is nearing the end.

Having said that. Lakers need to find some more consistent 3 point shooters.

Its absolutely a home run if you get 2019-20 Schröder.

Its absolutely not if you get 2013-18 Schröder.

Definitely need a lot more 3 point shooting. If you lose Green, KCP and Bradley, that's your 3 best shooters from last year.

But I'm sure there will be at least a few snipers looking for a ring that will join up cheap.

Not sure if Bradley will get many offers. Opting out and age will work against him(Now watch him get 3/30).

Schroder will make the Lakers even tougher. He will want a Ring and when he wants to play he is very good. Great move by the Lakers.

So OKC gets a 1st round pick for trading for Danny Green, and then gets another 1st round pick for trading him away.
