Gawd the knicks gotta be the most unwatchable team on the planet. The snobs gotta be just dying on the vine for a once rabid fanbase.

Austin Rivers & Michael Kidd-Gilchrist as your big signings to turn it all around?

Yikes, sorry spike.

Boston Celtics guard Kemba Walker received a stem cell injection in his left knee and is out until at least the first week of January, the team said Tuesday.

Walker received the injection after consultation with multiple specialists in early October and was put on a 12-week strengthening program. The Celtics said he is expected to return to on-court activities in early December, and an update on his availability to play in games will be provided in the first week of January.

OMG I can’t believe how crazy Russell must be to get traded for that contract and what use to be John Wall.

Wow

Contracts are exactly the same, so that's a wash.

Westbrook: 2/84M + a $47M player option.
Wall: 2/83M + a $47M player options.

I think Houston looks at it as a last ditch chance to keep Harden. And Wall just turned 30. If (BIG if) he can come back from the achilles injury, things could be interesting in Houston.

And they get a 1st round pick:

Shams Charania:
Sources: Protection on the first-round pick that the Wizards traded to Houston in Russell Westbrook/John Wall trade: 2023, Lottery; 2024, Top 12; 2025, Top 10; 2026, Top 8; then becomes two second-rounders.

Harden is just so all encompassing with his lack of ball movement, Taking nothing away from how great of an offensive player he is, but John Wall is another guy who needs the ball in his hands when he’s at his best as well, and Wall hasn’t suited up in quite a while.

Harden has pretty much been playing iso ball since he arrived in Hou. Most teams today really move the ball around. Harden might not fit in with other teams when he finds out he has to play with others.

I will say after watching a few clips of John Wall, he sure seems to still have his wheels. His amazing burst is still there.

Looks like they’re gonna still have to move Harden though.

As @Giannis_An34 tweeted, he is signing his extension with the Bucks. His agent, Alex Saratsis, tells ESPN it will be for the full five-year, $228M super max, including an opt-out after the fourth year.

Shams Charania@ShamsCharania
Breaking: Giannis Antetokounmpo says he is signing a contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks. The two-time MVP will sign a five-year, $228.2 million supermax extension with the franchise, the largest deal in NBA history, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

At least to start the year?

Has anyone ever seen him and Patrick Mahomes in the same room?

They apparently weren't raised like I was, "if it ain't broke ......"

NHL also, shoulda fired up the way they ended.
Can always transition into "regular"
The NHL bubble experience was a great alternative, do it again, as long as we have to.

Don't get it. All they had to do was look at the troubles the NFL and MLB have gone through.
Not to mention college football

And start sheltered and go back to the old ways.

NBA rosters are so small they might figure after a team has a big breakout they will be at herd immunity.

My guess is they will have some games cancelled/postponed but everybody will be vaccinated by the time playoffs start. Including us.

Herd immunity through outbreaks is a myth. There are documented cases of people getting covid twice. You need the vaccine and avoid the outbreak. There are long term heart and lung effects from getting covid as well. We just had a college player, who previously had covid, collapse on the court during a game.

possible yes, but not likely.

2 document cases in the United States through November 10th. based on article I saw.

Not going to get my panties in a twist over extremes.

I know one thing. Doesn't really matter what I think on most subjects Covid related. I wear a mask and what happens is going to happen.

I don't think anybody is getting panties in twist. There isn't just a lot of confidence in catching the virus resulting in long term immunity. Scientists have been saying early on that herd immunity is not possible without vaccination.

Have you heard that vaccine will only protect you for 6 months? Found that on FAQ article.

The long term effectiveness is undetermined. Since this is a new generation of vaccine, using messenger RNA, there is no historical information on long term effectiveness.

Really terrible what happened to Clay Thompson. I'm not a big Warriors fan but them back at full strength makes the NBA more interesting.

I think Wiseman will thrive there. Even w/o Clay I think they will make some noise.

I took him in my league with RealGM posters for $7 auction bid of a projected 20. Seems like everybody is scared off.
