I'm also not totally against what Bill suggested. Regardless of cost.

If Cousins is part of the outbreak of unvaccinated players that cause a forfeit, cut his ass immediately. Yes his 2022 salary is guaranteed but the planning and mindset can begin for a rebuild. Same with Harrison Smith and Theilen.

I'm on board with that.

You can NOT invest all your franchise resources building team culture when your team leaders refuse to get over themselves for the good of the team.

I concede that vaccination can be a tough personal decision for some people ... but ... we are talking about highly-privileged individuals clinging to a narrow view that undermines everything that is larger than themselves. (and unlike some that feed from a tube of misinformation, our players have every possible resource at their fingertips ... including a medical staff to get first-hand, face-to-face information).

and ... they are 'effin with my team.

I'm addicted to this team ... that won't change ... but I just don't like it as much anymore. Cousins, Smith and Thielen have cheapened themselves and, kinda like Russia ROC and the Olympics, made the game cheaper as well.

I will follow along but I refuse to invest my expectations on a season at the mercy of Cousins' personal plexiglass.

Package the 3 of them, send them to Denver for Teddy and a WR that are vaccinated and living in reality. If Denver would want them.

Draft a QB high again next year unless Mond blows up and have a QB comp. next year with Teddy, Mond and rookie.

I have tried to like and cheer for Kirk Cousins in the time he has been our QB, but this latest anti vax stance has made me question just where he is coming from.

Deep dive into what's in Kirk Cousins head? Honestly I feel I wish I hadent, Besides that god dude, his father Don has a large space rent free in there...

https://churchleaders.com/news/402943-is-the-vaccine-decision-private-if-others-are-affected-christian-qb-kirk-cousins-weighs-in.html/2

Don Cousins tweeted, “As his father I would be saddened if Kirk were to speak of fearing Covid and even sadder if he was fearful of dying. ‘For God has not given us a spirit of fear…’ 2 Tim 1:7 ‘perfect love (Gods) drives out fear…’ 1 Jn 4:18. Great answer Kirk!” A few minutes later, he followed up with this tweet: “As his father I would be disappointed if Kirk failed to show proper respect for authority and others, regardless of his own desires. He has chosen to do exactly what God would have him do. Well done Kirk! Proud of you!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvRJz2TJxS0

Among his concerns: “Textbooks are being rewritten,” “culture’s being cancelled,” “statues of people [are] being torn down,” “religion is being silenced,” “prayer’s been banned from schools,” and a “platform” is “unfolding” in pro sports. Don Cousins warned, “If you do not make every effort to hear the voice of God, you will be seduced to believe the messaging of the world.”

Who can forget last years nugget on Covid from Kirky

“I’m gonna go about my daily life,” Cousins explained. “If I get it, I’m gonna ride it out. I’m gonna let nature do its course. Survival-of-the-fittest kind of approach. And just say, if it knocks me out, it knocks me out. I’m going to be okay. You know, even if I die. If I die, I die. I kind of have peace about that.”

I was going to impart some of my thoughts here, but I just cant do it, I will come off as being something that offends someone. I will say I just dont agree with how this sect of society not only thinks but are imparting their will on the the rest of us with this anti vax stance. Some of what I learned from looking further into Kirks Dad honestly I found very troubling and gave me great perspective into what kind of leader the Vikings currently have at QB.

Cousins is just another in a long line of poor leaders for this franchise. From anti-vaxxers, to guys that beats their kids with sticks, to others that hire prostitutes on boats, it's long been a franchise where the inmates have been running the asylum. Another black eye.

Fortunately for Cousins and the franchise, another day brings another moron and people will quickly forget.

There's nothing wrong whatsoever with not being afraid of dying. I'm not afraid of dying. I also don't fear COVID. I also believe that God heals, but one of his best ways of healing is using Doctors and medicine. So all things considered I like living and would prefer to live healthy so I got the vaccine.

Your 'another moron and people will quickly forget' comment fully demonstrates your unattached view of the team and its fans.

What kind of odd bird spends their time needling people in the fan forum of a team they don't care about?

Andrew Krammer@Andrew_Krammer·4h

Linebacker Cameron Smith blitzes Jake Browning, who throws off his back foot and into a pick six by defensive end D.J. Wonnum. Second-year DE has dropped a lot into coverage this camp, and he gets a pick there.

-------

Speaking of fan loyalty, I expect the first two or three games of the season to feel like preseason games ... trying to figure out which players are in, who wears what jersey number ...

More on the meaningless Wonnum TC interception

https://twitter.com/Eric_L_Smith/status/1424068133451702272

One thing I like from this clip, Browning puts more effort tackling Wonnum in a no-tackling drill than Jeff George Cam Newton ever did in live action! (it doesn't excuse a pick six but ... you know what I mean?)

Also, in the clip underneath ... why is Cousins wearing #2 while he practices his fumbles?

All of you lambs piling on Kirk for not getting the vaccine want to hear what the inventor of MRNA Vaccine technology has to say?

I would think he qualifies as an expert.

Hint: You won’t like it and your hive minds will scramble to dismiss it. It’s not going away....

Is it just me or does it seem like RG is between Udoh and Dozier already?

Haven’t heard much about Davis other than he got dinged up a bit and got tried at a couple of positions.

I think right guard might be Udoh’s job to lose at this point. I think the Vikings want more athleticism and girth at the position. It’s down to the fundamentals now. But, we’ll see.

If I can gaze into my historical tar bucket…

Rookies won’t play, until they have to, by injury attrition, or eventually, “ it can’t be worse “ logic.

Zimmer can not tell if a player is any good until he clenches his sphincters, and puts them into a real game situation.

He lets others tell him what they think, then he cogitates that for a spell, and acts however the fuq seems best for his career.

Offensively …

What decade is our playbook based on?

Can Zimmer defend against top tier offensive diversity?

Can we not pound the running game on second and anything over 3?

Soo many same old expectations…

The only fundamentally sound technique Dozier has is getting thrown around like a rag doll.

It's disappointing to not hear more about Davis in the mix at RG. Since Brett Jones and Elflein are no longer around, it makes sense that they need a back up center with more girth than Mason Cole. As such, I can see backup center being a priority for Davis if Udoh has progressed at RG.

Davis was always a question mark. Same with Darrisaw, Hunter, and the signed FAs. Do they have the talent (health for Hunter), and then can they work as a unit?

Beyond Davis, really the IOL is a huge question mark. We still have Bradbury who so far has sucked, OT Cleveland playing guard, and Davis who has yet to rise above the slop at RG.

All three positions are relying on a lot of hope with nary a single solid NFL starter, which is unusual unless you are a team that is rebuilding. Might as well make it four OL positions with Darrisaw.

They needed to sign a decent guard in free agency (they trumpet Cole but that's an insult to the fans). There were a couple out there early in FA but they were apparently too pricy, the team had other needs, and/or the team thought they could address IOL in the draft.

I don't think Diggs wanted out because of the teams history of character-related issues.

He seems like the worst type, actually, who know it's real but somehow cling to this idea that it's not a big deal. In his case it seems certain that he feels he's heading to heaven anyway, so no big deal, but others throw out stuff like total deaths are even because there haven't been the flu or traffic deaths we normally have, so same-same. In terms of his team/leadership qualities, he's even worse than the rumblings out of Washington indicated.

TC leads to a lot of speculation exactly opposite to what coaches are seeing ...

But right now it looks like Hill Cleveland Bradbury Udoh O'Neil to start game 1.

LT - Down Arrow from Reiff: at least Hill is serviceable/decent ... not sure long term but I don't mind opening with him (this also gives former shoe-in now Plan B Darrisaw time to get healthy and acclimate).

LG - Up arrow from Dozier: at least Cleveland is still viewed by the braintrust as starter material (somewhere). Just okay as a rookie on the right side, at least brings a lot more to the table than Dozey.

C - Same as in no bueno: Bradbury might improve, or not. Interesting that Davis got a little practice at C (just in case Udoh takes RG?)

RG - Up arrow from Cleveland: If you you are going to misplace OTs at G, at least Udoh has the size and strength to mix it up in there, and a couple of developmental offseasons under his belt.

RT - Same as in good: Give O'Neil a contract and be thankful they haven't created a third G spot for him.
