not going to lie, the thought of Jim Harbaugh coaching the Vikings excites me.

Sorry, but the yea yea, rah rah approach doesn't excite me.

Come on hex. Yesterday I was willing to make you the GM. Within 24 hours I'm already firing you.

He was the head coach of a team that was a dumpster fire and took them to a Super Bowl. He wasn't scared one bit in dumping his QB and putting in an unknown when he thought he was better. He was an NFL QB, he knows what it takes and what doesn't cut it.

I doubt the Vikings can do better, if so who?

I'm in too.. he took his team to the superbowl with Kap under center.
We need that type of miracle around here.

I am not happy with losing a SB, that is not the miracle we need.

We need someone that has won a SB, or has shown some ability as an OC.

He lost a superbowl on the last play of the game that was essentially a coin flip on whether PI gets called or not... with Cap under center...

Holding that against him is a little ridiculous.

13 head coaches have won multiple Superbowls.

It’s not as rare an you assume.

Only 4 who have made the Super Bowl, have never won one.

No guarantees with any coach.

I could easily see getting Bieniemy and four years later being told “you got Eric, did you expect him to bring Andy Reid and Mahomes with him”.

How many are available to the Vikings right now?

I get that more than a few have won more than one - I would hope so

This was specific to Marty not wanting Harbaugh bc he didn't win the SB

edit: - - and it looks like I did a poor job of saying what I wanted to say, too

I don't have that answer, but Jim Harbaugh is not it. He would be the oldest 58-year-old in the league (if you know what I'm saying). Outside of the one year with Kaepernick, he takes on dinosaur qualities in his offenses. And he's kind of a known jackass. There is that.

We need some young blood that is screaming of innovation and not afraid to take chances.

I actually liked Doug Pederson when he was at Philly up until he threw the game against Washington. At 53, he's not as young as I'd like, but he did win a Super Bowl with Nick Foles.

Pederson kind of fits your mold. Played quarterback. Won a Super Bowl. Wasn't afraid to insert Nick Foles.

That whole throwing the game by benching Jalen Hurts for Nate Sudfeld in the second half is where I lose interest. He was one of my favorite coaches in the NFL up until that point. It wasn't so much that he threw the game, as it was when he came to the podium after the game and said he thought Sudfeld gave them a better chance to win. Everybody knew he was throwing the game to get a higher draft pick. But it allowed one of Philly's bitter enemies to make the playoffs, and the Eagle fans would not stand for it.

Oh Jesus Christ..

I really don’t care,

Zimmer and Spielman have to go..

Maybe a better coaching staff can get wins instead of stats out of cousins..

Cousins is a career mediocre QB.
30-28-1 with our Vikes..

Brady 240-74
Montana 127-65
Bradshaw 107-54
Cousins 59-61-2

Winners win..
Cousins muddles…
Sub .500 win %

On some really talented teams..

This year included..

But it’s all on the defense or kickers..

If you believe that, go back and flip the results of all the “one score games” from wins to losses and losses to wins..

You know what you get?

The same damn record.

Loserville.

Not a chance ...

as incompetent as Spielman is, he would get laughed out of the league and end his career.

I'm sure the initial Cousins signing raised eyebrows as the fattest deal in history but given our ineptitude developing QBs ... it could be written off as being very aggressive on the market for a good, relatively young QB.

The extension, on the other hand, had to draw snickers and giggles from Spielman's peers ... the amusement of seeing us deliberately putting our head in a lime squeezer over a QB that has proven to be all lime and salt and no tequila.

Extending Cousins again after a 7 or 8 win season would get Spielman laughed out of the league. It would rival the Herschel Walker deal for franchise nitwittedness.

Pederson would be outstanding for all the reasons you stated. Hopefully, the Vikings hire a new GM who's able to trade Cousins and pick up a cheaper short-term replacement like Minshew. If Pederson can turn Foles into a Superbowl winner, he can certainly do the same with Minshew. Did Pederson make a mistake by being too obvious in his attempt to tank? Sure, but if that's the biggest mistake your head coach makes, versus say, never learning how to manage the game clock, or running on first and second down regardless of the game situation, then sign me up. While they're at it, sign Vic Fangio on as DC. I'd actually have hope for the Vikings in 2022.

Kirk haters, I'm extending an olive branch. You want Kirk gone. This year's draft is projected to be one of the worst QB drafts in years. Here's the free agent QB list per

here's a link of the available QBs if you have Twitter:

Yeah, stay married just bc your future spouse is not immediately identifiable.

Look, if the new GM/coach want to work with Cousins and he's willing to do something besides wrecking our cap...I'll listen.

I put more of the blame for our failures on Zimmer 1st, Spielman 2nd.

That, or get by with hookers for a couple years. Or that crack skank that lives at the end of the block.

Minshew is a backup QB under contract for one year at a cost of less than $1m dollars. Easy trade for a late round pick. Word out of Denver is that Fangio is going to be fired next week. Couldn't get much simpler.

See that's what gets me ... Cousins did his part for 9, 10, 11 win season. The other two you guys want out of here in the worst way, Zimmer & Rick, did not - more Zimmer with the worst D in the NFL with his son as the DC. Wow, you make your bones as a D genius - maybe that's a little strong - and you let your son be the DC and it's the worst in the league. The freekin' worst defense in the NFL and he still had this team in position to easily make the playoffs.

I know DL hates this shit but as bad as this team is Cousins had them in position to win with a FG, without a bs fumble, without letting F Dallas drive the field playing off 10 yards all the way into the end zone ... what else did I miss?

F, you guys are making me stick up for Cousins. Stop it!

The only things that need to happen are:

The head coach and coaching staff need to get fired and the new head coach - not our fan base - would have to be interested in hiring Fangio and Fangio would have to want to coach our pathetic defense with no money to shore it up.

The GM would have to be fired as well because he would never draft, trade for or sign a decent back-up QB that can do more than hold a clipboard and the Eagles would have to have lost faith in Minshew to move on and find another good backup QB situation.

Doesn't hurt to dream though.

You can look at a play or two in every game or you can look at the bigger picture ... you just have to be willing to look ... in every game, in all 10 seasons.

But why bother. You are a broken record, so am I.

For those who want Kirk gone next year, just know replacing a top 12 QB is not easy, and you very well may end up wasting a year or 2 of JJ, the back end of Thielen's prime, and Dalvin. Easy to get rid of a QB,not easy to upgrade. #Skol
