Yep, just a few posts back someone else posted about the Kwesi tweet referring to Phil's "HOF QB on a rookie contract" that he said I posted.

Folks, Phil has had a busy and particularly brutal morning in the Political threads, and when that happens he often miss-assigns posts because he gets overwhelmed.

Brutal morning= Not agreeing with the "anti objective thought" majority.

Groundhog Day with Bill on the threads. He bashes and someone asks him what he would have rather done and nothing. Just the norm.

I even agreed with Brad on something and he bashes me and says nothing of Brad.

It's settled, Cousins is a "good" quarterback.

And $81,166,668 to play for the next two years is, apparently, "good" money.

I also like statements like that which come w/o alternatives.

Cousins is tied for the 9th highest paid QB in the league. The QB's right behind him and making almost as much money are Jared Goff and Carson Wentz. It's the market rate for a QB like Cousins. Some people can't get over it.

The eight-figure amount of dead money he will get to not play football puts him higher, and distances him from your cherry-picked two QBs signed by directionless teams.

Cherry picked? They were the next two guys on the list. The Vikings have 7 players on the payroll with eight-figures in dead money. Why cherry pick Cousins' contract? In any case, that's a pointless argument. Why are you grinding on the dead money amount for a player you aren't going to cut?

I have family that grinds about Kirk. I ask them about another option....it is 20 some months later and they still don't have one. Same as Bill. I don't see any clamoring for Jimmy or Baker or Wentz or Ryan (outside of Baker they all make big money also).

Cherry pick Cousins' contract? Wow. It was a piggyback off of what Kwesi said about him. You know, the comments that went national. During a relative dry spell. Why are you aghast about that?

Now if Kwesi was talking about Hunter or Cook and I posted Cousins' contract out of the blue, you may have something. But Kwesi didn't, I didn't, and you don't

Oh, it's money against the cap going to him... part of the bottomline sum KC and the Vikings signed for. $81 million remaining for two years until he is a UFA. You choose to not include it, I do.

IMO sounds like they didn't have much to write about...lots of Hype during Training Camp....Similar to Fournette coming in at over 270 which was misreported when he came to camp in shape at 245...

Yeah, cause GMs routinely single out their QB with indirect references about not being able to win a SB.

CLEARLY similar to a RB's reported vs actual weight

Not crowning him, but Booth is a CB I wanted pre-draft like in some sort of trade down-trade up scenario. He and a couple of others, but mainly him.

Man, Andrew Booth Jr. is a confident dude. He’s in Ihmir Smith-Marsette’s face after a rep yelling “you don’t want to get physical with me.”

I look forward to a Ragatz quote after he talks shit to JJ or even Thielen.

It won't be a fun week of practice for him.

“Love Kirk’s mindset. You know, I called him the other day just to talk about a couple things, and that guy goes his zero dark LeBron mode kind of in the offseason, where he just channels out all of the other things,” Adofo-Mensah said.

Why? The comment is merely a takeoff on military slang that's been around for decades (baseline: "Oh" or zero dark thirty) coupled with what LBJ did years ago.

That said, for that he'd fit better as a GM on a coastal team because more people would understand him.

He has improved the roster and still has 9 Million to spend. That is weird for Vikings fans.

Yeah. That's the weird part.

To me he's a smart guy who wants to appear the smartest. Trying a bit too hard.

You don't think it's a bit strange for him to already think he can pick out the next mega superstar QB? *Better than anyone else.

Excited that training camp is up and running and we can see that talent we have now. Glad to hear the positive reports about Booth, but have seen this before so let's see how it plays out once the season actually begins.

I think the tea leaves are that it makes his job or any GM the easiest (HOF QB on a rookie contract). KC and Cincy are examples.

He doesn't have a stud QB on a rookie contract so it isn't exactly easy.

His intent hasn't been quoted correctly yet.

maybe one of the biggest issues with KC is that he just doesn't fit with the team...never been one of the guys, and add the separation created by a too big for your britches contract, there is too much envy and lack of connection to the team...

not that he can't necessarily get the job done, but KC's isolation is a frustrating hurdle to overcome...

In the long wait off season I find a week out from the 1st pre season games on TV to be the sweet spot.

Well that pick was on a Jefferson route, and Booth was hot dogging it like he was returning it for 6 in no contact drill. Probably irked Jefferson a bit. I'm all for confidence, but talking shit to your teammates and/or the whole look at me attitude, whether you can back it up or not, is bush league IMO.

And those are reasons why he doesn't fit. Bottomline, the face of the franchise has to be mentally fresh. When it's 4th and goal in the red zone, he needs to clearly and quickly determine the best pass is one destined for the 3rd row end zone seats.

Jefferson and the receivers can go wallow in South Florida. Go find a Univ. of Miami QB to throw to them.

Jefferson, you've been Zero Dark Lebron moded!

At least line up under the center and not the right guard.
