I think some of you are setting yourselves up for disappointment if you think this defense will be elite.

We've been fielding about a 27th ranked defense the last couple years. Elite is top 5. I think reaching a 15th ranking would be more realistic.

Improved coaching and adding Sine, Booth, Evans, Randall, etc. to the CB and Hicks, Rookie LB plus Phillips, ZED, McGill to the DLine not to mention coaching. Injuries are always the key.....the Defense has the talent to be top 10.

The run defense should be much improved just with a 3-4 with Phillips and McGill.

Going to be real interesting.

The Vikes should be trading RB or WR depth for what they are lacking. Greatest weakness still has to Center. If they don't sign or trade for one does that mean JC Tretter?

A couple questions for anyone who watched the game.

How did CB Evans look? I see he had a lot of tackles and one TFL. Was he getting tackles because he was getting burnt or did he look good?

Is TY McGill going to make Final 53? Two nice games in a row.

Surratt actually had some stats. How did he look?

I think the Rookie LB has surpassed everyone else but Hicks and Kendricks...Last Athletic projection had Surratt cut. I didn't see anything really stand out with him compared to the rookie LB.

If Ham is on his way out I think it'll be BC of Ty Chandler. He might be our 2nd best back right now. They're not going to keep 4 RB's and a FB. I'm not even sure 4 makes sense.

Value wise I actually think we get more out of Ham than Nwangwu if say everyone's healthy. Maybe NWang to PS?

Didn't Kene have 2 kickoff return TDs last year?

I see Mattison as the odd man out.

They would pick him up real fast.... We have 3 2nd string quality Rbs.

Glad Kwesi made a move for a competent backup.

Now go get a decent C.

Think they cut FB2 jake bargass. Big ? is how often are we going to be using a FB. Idt trading Mattison is a wise move. Cook is fragile and if 2 RB's are nicked or out carrying 4 is pretty common.

From the article...Physically tough. Mentally weak.

Saw some INT lowlights that looked as bad as Mond's last game.

We already have a QB coach and an assistant QB coach.

Those were in a real game though. Mond is doing it in preseason vs backups. Mullens at QB2 makes sense and instantly makes us better. Good move.

LOL...at least he isn't starting.
I watched him when Garrapolo was hurt for SF....he is mobile and has a good arm. Not afraid to use it---very different from Mannion.

Nice to see, that the front office is able to recognize problems...

Its not life changing, but its an obvious improvement...He at least gives you a small chance to steal a game against a bad team if KC has a problem

I will retract my Brett Favre comment and would say that he is similar to Case Keenum (Little short for NFL QB; 6' 1").....best thing is he is only 27.

Best thing is he has 17 games started and 26 TD 22 Int.

Mannion 3 games started 1 td 3 int.

One more improvement (C) and I'd call it drastically improved over 1 off season.

I say keep 2 QBs and put Mond on PS

that roster spot might help the RB room....i hate getting rid of Mattison for nothing (i dont expect anything more than a 6th rounder), especially with Cook's history

I am OK keeping Ham, possibly as an H-back type in case we need some TE depth...

agreed

and addressing Center would confirm to me that the leadership is not afraid of changing directions, when/if your initial plans have shown to be problematic....Be a year early, not a year behind!

Bradbury may be the worst starting offensive lineman in the NFL.

We need a new center if we want to be a playoff team with any hope.

I'm starting to drink the Kool-Aid but still don't see more than a one and out with our QB.

No excuses for sure....all things are aligning. We even have better depth. Spielman and Zimmer basically said it wasn't possible last year to have depth.

Kwesi does it with ease and still has cap room to boot....
