ORIGINAL: Tom Sykes I don't mind the regime trying to put their own stamp on things. I would. I'm not sure my sole focus would be extinguishing all traces of Spielman's last draft class in one offseason ... it kind of seems like a newbie GM making too strong a point. I guess we'll see how all this turns out. I just wish we were giving some attention to the cracks in the dam spouting water. Some seem too obvious...Ish can't handle punts, they bring in three for C/G (Reed, Schlottman, and Davis) trade away the lesser, Watts can't defend the run. Try a couple other guys in those back of the roster spots. I think Suh is coming. I think a Kelce or another C also....after week 1 when contracts aren't guaranteed. I'm not always sure what you mean. I think you're saying that 'Kwesi's strategy is cwazy obvious' ... we got rid of WR ISM because he couldn't field punts (only play WR), so we traded for a WR that can only field punts ... we addressed our weakest position with three question marks, back-up Reed, barely back-up Schlottman and not even a backup Davis .. but we only kept two ... we discarded Watts who can't defend the run but had more tackles last year than dynamic run stoppers Phillips or Lynch have ever had in a season (in fact more last year than Phillips had if you combine his first 3 seasons (of 4).. oh and he can also rush the passer unlike Phillips and Lynch ... 1) I remember the few tackles the Williams wall had....you don't measure the run defense in tackles. Stats say Watts struggled against the run; meant more for 4-3. 2) Davis cut or Davis trade? 3) Nailor prob is just as good of WR and Reagor is faster....
