Addison is currently out with an injury so they can't call him up right now. I would prefer him over Benn as well.
Bad timing to have Dumba and Addison injured at the same time.

Another forgettable effort. And before anyone ties it to Dumba, before these last two games, we had quite a hot streak with him on the shelf.

I just saw this on the Athletic in Russo's gamer after last nights brutal game.

Defenseman Calen Addison, who suffered an upper-body injury last week, has been cleared to return and was expected to practice with the Iowa Wild on Friday. Wild general manager Bill Guerin said Friday morning he didn’t anticipate recalling Addison for the upcoming road trip, but he had yet to have the conversation with the coaching staff and planned to after the morning skate.

They damn well better take Addison on the trip, Benn has been bad the last few games. As Russo put it, "Benn, who has filled in admirably at times this season, has absolutely come back down to earth in his recent outings and again was exposed. "

Benn has slipped noticeably lately. If Addison is ready, he needs to be here.

Yup.
Addison-Brodin
Goligoski-Spurgeon
Kulikov-Merrill
Benn needs to sit for a while.
When Dumba is healthy he needs to play just enough to get us a decent trade. At this point I'd rather keep Fiala and trade Dumba.

All the Dumba haters are looking very silly right now.

#mnwild center Victor Rask is being assigned to Iowa. It’ll be his first AHL assignment since 2013-14 with the Charlotte Checkers.

#mnwild will have one extra forward and one extra defenseman on trip. Calen Addison recalled (Dakota Mermis reassigned), Nick Bjugstad activated

Not as silly as you for saying that

That first period in Edmonton was just what the Wild needed to get some mojo back.....4-1 good guys after 1.

6-2 after 2 periods and the 4th line making a resurgence with 2 goals. Bjugstad forechecking has really sparked that line with Dewar at center and Duhaime at the other wing.

A great way to start the road trip with a 7-3 win against McDavid and the Oilers.

Both of Fiala's goals were beautiful. The drag to the middle, seamless top shelf wrister is something not many can do. The second was another case of Boldy and Fiala communicating via brain waves. Boldy breaks up the play in the neutral zone and taps a short pass between defenders into the offensive zone. Meanwhile, Fiala loops behind those same defenders at warp speed and is in free for the goal.

It's plays like those that make me want to find a way to keep Fiala and trade Dumba and his contract to make room if needed.
Addison has proven to be another quality D that can step in and take Dumba's spot with little or no drop off.

That's for sure. He has been fighting the puck and looking slow his last 3 outings. He hasn't been the same goalie since he got hurt in the Ice Classic game.
I suspect we see Kaapo on Thursday in Toronto.
I didn't like Moose on a line with KK and Hartman. I would have rather seen Sturm or Boldy there.

That game losing goal was absolutely horrible. I think it's pretty clear that Kaapo is the better goalie right and should be shouldering the #1 load.

I think we're gonna trade for that former Penguins goalie and demote Talbot. Could be a risky but savvy move.

Agreed, but we still need to get some serviceable play out of Cam every once in a while with our schedule.
I hope it's just a bad stretch for Cam and he gets back to playing the way he did to start the season.

He didn’t start the season all that well either, although he did settle into some solid play after awhile. His all star selection was a joke.

Agree and glad you guys see it too. I bitched so much about Dubnyk I thought I had developed DTSD. 😳

I’m ready to turn it over to Kap.

I like how Kahkonen has moved forward, further away from the goal line. He's not guessing as much anymore. It's helping him see the puck better.
