Next up: Jim Harbaugh, who heads to Minnesota with confidence that he’ll land the job. Time will tell.

I'll take either him or O'Connell. I have no interest in Graham or Morris. Sounds like we have Harbaugh if we want him.

“Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is headed to Minnesota for a Wednesday interview, but multiple sources say it’s a formality. Harbaugh heads there planning to sign a deal to become the NFL Vikings’ head coach.”

9 hours is a long time to interview someone if you’ve already made up your mind about going in another direction…just a reminder that nothing is official yet on the Harbaugh front

Many say Harbaugh interviewing tomorrow is a formality. He's coming here to sign a contract.

If Harbaugh is the guy, it’s a good reminder that for an Offensive-minded guy, he had a Top 5 Defense every year in SF… what’s the biggest need for the Vikings, Defense.

The biggest need for the Vikings is the no- turtle neck offense from antivaxxers Jesus QB and never seeing the MOAP. Defense of Zimmer or Fraser, ever again..

We will be fine if we just do those two things and cut bait on some cap anchors who are vastly overpaid, including KC.

Childress went 6-10 his first year, so did Tice, Green won a lot of regulars season games but not so much in the playoffs.

I expect a year, minimum, of transitional football, until at least second seasons draft by new management gets playing time.

This team is not “ just a few keys” away from being a Championship winner.

JMO, and I would gladly, like to be proven wrong.

I spent the majority of the os kool-aiding it up thinking it was our time and I know it's spitting your lunch out laughable but I totally expect us to be in the running for 1 of the top 2 seeds next year. We'll be no less than 4 so I don't see it as homeresque to project a bit more.

We can add an OL piece. We can land a top CB. We can coach up a bunch of young guys. We can have a better culture.

You guys can be as reserved as you want. We land Harbaugh and I am all in.

Todd, I like your optimism…

But I have ridden that pony too many times , pulled on oars till my back is broken, and bled so much purple, strangers think I’m transgendered..

Until I see what is done with this hot mess, I won’t be convinced..

I know we have talented player in a lot of spots, and I do not for a second, think that coaching was a positive in many ways the team played..

We, as fans, bitched about Priefer for a solid three years, it seems.. I know it was at least 2 seasons..

Same with Zimmer the last two seasons..

Spielman has been loved and hated equally for his Bradford trade and losing Diggs, but picking Jefferson, and Darrisaw, but

TBH..this team has been all over the disappointing side of the road, careening off of miraculous play to keep long time fans like me engaged..

I’m in wait and see mode.

We might get Harbauh, we might not..

If we do, it won’t change my position on the ball busting fence..

54 years of almost good enough is no longer good enough.

Looks like Vikings Fan Myopia may be starting a bit early in 2022. A new variant is now being predicted to arrive in early February, the Harbaugh strain. Usually it takes you guys at least 24-48 hours after the completion of the draft to come out of hibernation.

Viking fans are so desperate for a winner that Jim Harbaugh now sounds good to them.

I'll make one prediction if he is hired. That three years from now we will be discussing the exact same issue as a result of him leaving.

The last time he was an NFL coach and he played that Kapernick guy who Mond eerily is quite similar to.

He went to 3 NFC title games and a Superbowl in 3 straight years. What have the other candidates done as an NFL head coach?. I'm not endorsing Harbaugh, but your rabid opposition is now beyond irrational.

Its nice to hear you so openly differentiate yourself from Vikings fans. Usually you are more coy about that … even though its obvious to us.

As far as Harbaugh, its an unknown … nothing is written. In this situation, every honest good-natured fan of every team is hoping for the best outcome.

It obviously feeds your ego to argue from a position of emotional detachment but really its pathetic that you spend this much time searching out groups of strangers to heckle … that share a bond of any kind that you are removed from.

Do you not have any friends?

Look back in the posts.

It is almost like you want the worse candidate; how are the Bucs fan base after the retirement?

Harbaugh is a Wolverine in sheep's clothing. He'll achieve some modest success, only to leave three years later and claim he has found his dream job. It's who he is.

Make no bones about it, as soon as Harbaugh wins anything of consequence (perhaps an NFC North title), he'll be pimping himself to other organizations and programs as the savior. He did it at the U of San Diego. He did it at Stanford. He did it with the Niners. He's doing it to Michigan. The only thing Jim Harbaugh is loyal to, is Jim Harbaugh.

He wins...look back at the 34 year old SF owner and GM that were pissed and jealous of Harbaugh....same thing you are showing now.

Harbaugh took a pay cut and kick in the nuts from Michigan last year and wants a shot to win it all with our team that has an offense a piece or two already built to do that. He has the ability to get us to the Super Bowl....not sure what your problem is with him.

You don't want a coach capable of getting us to the Super Bowl even if he isn't here more than a few years?

The career pattern is there for all to see. You may be right ...

but again, we are talking about human behavior and nothing is a stone cold lock.

Its not who is the best candidate for the job, its who is the best available candidate for the job. Is there someone out there with a better NFL HC resume?

(that's not a complete projection)

This is wo purple glasses...

We have receivers (4wr and 2te) ranging from promising up and comers to all pro.

A star RB with capable backups...one who can tilt the field in the return game.

3/5 entrenched starters on OL with the chance to pick up a 4th and hopefully get the 5th to serviceable.

A QB with arm talent.

Top tier talent on all 3 levels of defense with young talent.

A coach (hopefully) that is a winner and gets off to fast starts.

Fresh innovative eyes on draft.

No more MOAP defense.

It's going to be an amazing ride.

Don't get your hopes up. Harbaugh made $4-million last year after taking a pay cut. He wins a BigTen title, and now suddenly he's looking for a payday. Will it come from the Minnesota Vikings, or the University of Michigan? Given that Zimmer was making $5-million, I'm guessing the payday will be coming from Michigan. He was reportedly making $8-million at one point with the maze and blue.
