I don’t really want Harbaugh.. TBH..

But I have Zero control..

What I want to see is an explosive offense.

Defense can be middle of the road, ..

We have way too much cap tied up in aging Vets..

We tied up a lot of money on defense, to be rated this badly.

They are 27th against the run, 25th in pass defense, and 25th in points allowed, and 27th in total yards allowed.Dec 18, 2021

Of all of the names that have surfaced, Harbaugh is my least favorite. I absolutely cannot root for a team with Harbaugh as the coach.

First off, the guy is just freakin weird. I don't want a weirdo coaching the Vikings. Harbaugh is the quintessential rah rah guy. Can't do it.

Why would the Vikings want to hire a guy that never seems comfortable in one spot for more than three years?

Based on leaving SF after 4 years? His other moves were for better jobs, clearly better jobs.

No rooting for a team with Cousins, Thielen, Peterson, etc. as well. Apparently.

3 yrs San Diego
4 yrs Stanford
4 yrs San Fran
7 yrs Mich

I'll take 3-4 years if he gets it done.

Here is what I see and Tom has posted it too. 3 NFC Championships and 1 Super Bowl appearance in 4 years. If you don't want a Super Bowl coach kept fudding Harbaugh.

Could be a USC/Stanford PAC 12 thing?

Maybe Graham can bring Daniel Jones with him and make it a very short tenure for all involved.

Sounds like a great recipe for career suicide

My updated Vikings head coach wishlist:

1.) Jim Harbaugh
2.) Raheem Morris
3.) Doug Pederson
4.) DeMeco Ryans

He is also ok with Rams OC

My updated Vikings head coach wishlist:

1.) Kevin O'Connell
2.) Jim Harbaugh
3.) Raheem Morris
504.) Patrick Graham

I'd be happy with any of the top 3. Although, Harbaugh would make me nervous and excited at the same time.

I'm very interested in O'Connell as well. There is going to be a QB to develop, and I read some interesting stuff about how he handled the pile of shitt that was the WFT QB room when he was OC there in 2019. He doesn't call plays for the Rams, but he did in Washington. I'm not all in on any of these guys because the fact is we just don't know enough as fans to say who fits best. I've never been fond of Harbaugh, but that's from distance and he's definitely a good coach. Plus, why do I have to like him? That said, I'd rather like the coach of the team I like.

And just because we don't know much about Graham doesn't mean he wouldn't be the right choice. The NYG suck, their talent sucks, but he may have done great just to get them where they are.

With Harbaugh, it's always about a better job. That's what he says every time. The reality is, nobody within any organization or program likes him after one year. He's got an abrasive personality and frankly, is just a little bit weird.

And yes, he's a Wolverine, which should automatically eliminate him from any high-profile jobs in the state of Minnesota. Our new GM should know that! I'd rather see them hire Cal Stoll or Murray Warmath, and both have been dead for a long time.

I see my Ryans pick went down in flames.

I'm probably warming up to O'Connell. In the past I have complained about the new age coaches but hard to argue against them when one of them will win a SB.

1. O'Connell (with Graham as DC)
2. Morris
3. Harbaugh (like Brad H said. He doesn't like to stay in one place too long. If Dallas or Miami come calling after a year or two here, he's probably gone.)

Being the Wolverines coach is a big nothing when it comes to being the Vikings coach. I don't know any Gopher fans besides you who are bothered by this. Your points about wearing out his welcome are valid. I'm not endorsing Harbaugh, but his Wolverine ties are a non fa tor.

You mean like our new GM who has both worked with him and likes him enough to include him in his final 4 HC pool.

Pllease continue with your lucid commentary … I have never liked Harbaugh but your campaign against has me warming up to him a little.

Vikings Tues. coaching search update:
-Team conducted interviews w/ Rams OC Kevin O'Connell and DC Raheem Morris on Mon. in LA
-Giants DC Pat Graham is in Minnesota today for an interview
-Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh will interview in Minnesota on Wed., which is National Signing Day

Courtney Cronin@CourtneyRCronin
DeMeco Ryans has indeed withdrawn his name from consideration for the Vikings HC opening, per source. Vikings trip to California, where they are conducting interviews with Raheem Morris and Kevin O’Connell, will be over tonight.

Of the 4 choices, I prefer O'Connell. Harbaugh doesn't seem like the right fit.
