i thought that we should have fired zimmer very early last season...i think that we should fire donatell during the bye week, or sooner....

save the season...the defense is going to destroy this team...don't make danielle hunter play linebacker....

I just saw on the schedule that our bye is in 2 weeks. Moving right along ....

These “roughing the passer” calls are going to ruin the game.

it's a very tough decision, and i think it would show a lot of character...this early in his first season as head coach...huge - but it would make him stronger, and the team would back him....

When the Ravens won the Super Bowl, was it their OC or DC they fired in December before that playoff run ?

Maybe I would act too quickly, but I would fire any position coach where their unit is #25 or worse.

I think Pettine would even be an upgrade over Donatell, but I would look to get even better than Pettine.

i watched the game again last night - the 40minute condensed version...hunter was trying to tackle tight ends twenty yards downfield....

donatell put asamoah in towards the end, but it was just to 'spy' on fields...didn't seem to do anything but waste another defensive player who was on the field....

hicks was beaten around the edge on the bear's last touchdown - a ten-yard run....

kendricks and hicks are expected to be a hybrid mlb/olb and i don't think they have the quickness - hicks no, for sure....

Donatell failed at Philly, and backup QBs are doing too well on him.

I would give Donatell until week 10 at Buffalo. A respectable showing at Buffalo by the defense (even if they lose), and he can stay until the end of the season. A non- respectable showing, and Donatell should be fired that week.

Who here would be for going for 2 like the Raiders did with 4 min left in the game?

Not only that, if they do take the 1-point lead there then that probably puts the opponents offense into four down mode when driving for a game winning field goal.

Talk of us facing Miami's #3...doubt it.

Teddy would have returned to last week's game pre Tua...so even though he's in protocol he's good to go.

Which is fine. Teddy can dink and dunk for some yards but he's not dynamic enough to hurt us on the scoreboard.

Norm Snead is dynamic enough to hurt us on the scoreboard.

Classic!

Less than 48 hours ago we let Fields' play result in a QB rating which would have easily been the top QB rating in the league for 2021. Yeah, he didn't win the game with 6 TDs and all that, but why does shit like that have to be against us? His career best by a mile.

Bridgewater was among the top tier of the also-ran type QBs in 2021. Decent backup. Not someone to outright dismiss.

Teddy is a QB you should force deep throws

He is good at underneath...we will see

I don't think the bye helps a lot as far as instituting a major change like going from the 3-4 to 4-3 because players get more time off, etc. Still, it's got to offer more of an opportunity than the week to week grind where there is little time to do anything beyond rest, film, game-plan for next opponent, walk-through, etc.

Has Donatell ever led a 4-3 defense?

What % have we run 3-4 vs 4-3?

Just run less and blitz more.

Teddy takes everything underneath...

Vikes give up everything underneath...

Would be lovely to see some defensive adjustment to that.

Some defensive stats.

29th in ypa.

31st in completion percentage. Allowing 70%, ahead of only the packers who are giving up 73%.

Middle of the road in points.

Middle of the road in sacks.

Lower tier in Ints.

Mid to bottom tier in forced fumbles.

Guess the question would be how effective are the blitzes so far?

Maybe Donatell knows he doesn't have the secondary to cover so he keeps more people back. Peterson and Harrison Smith look done as far as speed. They will make some plays based on guile and experience.
