Randy Moss.. loved him, but his personality was divisive.

When you go swimming in the ocean do you hope to encounter a great white bc you like being tested?

Now we want Allen to play and play well. Idk..if we make him play shitty is that not a thing?

If he plays and dices us up I want to see posts about how you got what you wanted. Post selfies of yourself smiling. .

Bills didn't elevate Barkley from the PS so it looks like y'all will get your wish.

Don’t be ridiculous.

What I want is exactly that, for Allen to play shitty because we make it so … not because he has no WRs like Rogers or has his arm attached to his shoulder with a band-aid. I DO want him to show up in good form and then what happens, happens.

What does it matter. Historically you are the first poster to cry, every year, about how you should have known better, how deflated you are, how they dashed your high hopes, etc.

Look on the gameday threads. You've bailed on the team and called them names even while the game was in progress!

In short, you are the ultimate fickle fan.

All hypothetical anyway (Allen playing).

I hope he does play, and that we can find a way to limit and counter the type of player he is..

Allen, Mahomes, other athletic mobile quarterbacks, expose weak defenses..

I want this team to be able to face, counter and adjust to any kind of offense, competitively, or we are just pretenders.

Any given Sunday is fine, but being dominate and finding ways to BE dominate, are more my style and desire.

Well summarized.

Doesn't feel like 7-1 with a huge game coming up by the pulse in here. I guess with only like 10 people left here with the majority being baseball fans or mostly into politics that's what you get.
Sad.

Sigh. I keep seeing this.
Reminder: We're ringless coming on 6 decades. Quit needing style point wins.

Sigh. You've expressed this several times. I envy your buoyancy ... but I am still tagging along hoping for much better.

Does it matter if you drink your rare premium single malt scotch with a big splash of water and a straw? Yes.

Standards matter. (there are other examples but nothing more sinister)

The games have been fun. The season has been fun. Fortunately for us, our Boones Farm Fuzzy Navel opponents have been watered down to our QB's and our team's level.

Have we deserved every win? Sure.

We all are going to cheer on this team regardless. Does cheering on a decent team bring about the same level of enjoyment as cheering on a real good team? No, how could it? Maybe after, when you see in retrospect that all you had was a decent team and the process was fun given all you had was a decent team.

Right now, I'm still hoping for much better. Allen needs to play and play well. We simply can't get to real good playing mediocre teams or decent teams with back-up QBs.

Some gold in there. And I know what you mean... Allen needs to play to his standard.

All that said, this team has exceeded the expectations of probably everyone. It's not a given they will improve, but that's another story.

Of course everything is roses with such a nice record, I just hope they think the same when the chips are down... or better yet become dominant so that the chips are never down.

The list was more of opinions that varied and sources of contentious debate.

I fn hated the Kick ass offense.

You're right, that's still the main question isn't it, how good can we be? Not can we continue floating along through the schedule ...

There's no floating weightlessly into drastic improvement. Not for this franchise ... I'm no masochist but there has to be some pain.

Sacrifices have to be made, an iron price has to be paid ... to get much better.

The Vikings will get Allen, and the injured Allen will courageously take his team on his back to victory over the Vikings.

Instead of establishing themselves as an elite team, the Vikes will be thought of as in the mix with about 8 other tier 3 teams.

Tier 1: KC and Buffalo
Tier 2: Philly
Tier 3: Vikings and about 8 other teams

I will be happy to be proven wrong on this. Even a close loss will put the Vikes in tier 3, as it will be assumed the Bills would have won by more if Allen were healthy.

Nobody cares about Josh Allen.

But some people would rather have this team play like a 7-1 team instead of treading water to 7-1.

That matters going forward.

A quick read through the topic the past couple of days shows you are the only one who does not want him to play. Several others have chimed in saying they want him to play... for reasons lost on you.

No, being a great team matters most. A team that can win on the road, in prime time, against top-tier teams playing their outstanding QBs.

As it stands, your playing best ball in January motto sounds like hoping all the opponents resort to their 2nd stringers (who can also light us up).

I'm not demanding this team be great, nor demanding the team perform to the standard of a normal 7-1 team. What they have accomplished is commendable... the rest is gravy. In a sense, if they can over-achieve the rest of the way that would be perfect. But... nevermind.

Crap, again. I’m in a tiny portion of the country that can’t access the game on broadcast. Bears vs lions here. It’s back to Sirius and PA again! I can’t wait to get this one going today!!!

Very spot on.

I always feel like I'm diminishing what they've done by talking only about getting better than their record reflects.

In truth, I'm very very grateful that they blew my expectations out of the water (like four games ago).

But ... how they improve / perform the next nine games is so much more important to the bigger picture of the 2022 season as a whole ...

It's a weird season. The schedule, opponents, backup QBs, our good health. In a way such talk is more justified as this weirdness continues against the odds, but at the same time the team is taking care of business. Peeling back the onion, the closeness of the games is worrisome. Even the prophet Cousins said it's strange that the team isn't playing well but is winning.

Bills Defense in 6 games before Bye only gave up 76yds rushing/game.

Last 2 after Bye, giving up 191yds/game

Vikings have to commit to the ground game for balance and to keep Bills offense on sideline.

- Someone mentioned around here, earlier in the week, we need to hit 'em with our ground game.
-- I'm gonna be honest, I'd be horrible at establishing the run.
