No big deal there.

We traded Jorge Lopez for him. Marlins subsequently waived him too.

And that was basically our big deal at the deadline.

Hopefully we get healthy and get on a roll in playoffs.

The only guy we need healthy is the one least likely to be healthy, Royce Lewis.
Buxton, Gallo, even Gordon are anchors holding this team back right now.

I think Lewis will be ready.

I don't know. Nothing about a hammy is ever certain in my experience.

Twins have now had 6 grand slams by rookies this season (4 by Royce Lewis, 2 by Matt Wallner).

That's the most grand slams by any team's rookies in a single season in MLB history.

Are you making that up?

Sounds like they are prepping for Polanco at 3B, Julien at 2B, and Royce DH in the first series.

Yikes. I was really hoping we wouldn't see Julien in the field. The TV and radio guys keep pumping up the "much improved" defense from Julien. I'm not seeing it. Dude is shaky out there. But I guess if this is the only way to get Royce in the lineup and reduce his chances of making the injury worse, it's what they have to do.

Do you know if there's a site that has the current odds/percentages of who the Twins will face in the 1st round?

Too bad we didn't sign Willi Castro to a 2 yr. deal. He might get a little expensive now.

Still under team control. All good.
The Pohlads thank you for your concern.

Don't see that if Lewis is unable to run at this point.

I thought Lewis just played in a simulated game and things went well.

Because just getting him into the lineup is more important than the position you think he should be fielding (if you have to ask).

Didn't run from what I read. Even if he did, now i'm reading DH at best. So Buxton is working to get ready, admitting he STILL cannot handle being a DH.

Castro needs to start in CF if Buxton cannot, then can start at third if he does.

Morneau just pleaded for his number to be retired.

Good luck, pal.

One word: NO.

Kirilloff with a big hit! 2-0 Twins already.

Sure hope we can avoid the Astros in the 1st round. Let's see how this plays out!

Wallner strikes out in a big spot. Does this indicate the 9th slot in the lineup does not agree with him?

If we get Toronto, do y'all think that pretty much locks us into the earliest game on Tuesday? And if so, does anyone know if that would typically be a noon or 1:00 Central start?

Bremer and Morneau just made a joke about Morneau's #33 being retired at Coors Field, and I'm guessing 90% of viewers didn't understand it was a joke.
